They work, but...you have to make sure the rubberband isn't sticking to to grenade itself or it won't go off easy. Other than that they work great, the blast radius and amount of paint are amazing!

I've seen an oppoasing player take a direct hit on back his tank (which was in a paod pack) from 15 feet away with a hard overhand throw and watched it bounce.

I've used between 10-15 F-bombs and have never been disappointed. Not once. Although, my team mates weren't too happy when I launched one and my team decided to rush forward at the same time. Needless to say, I killed a lot of my own men that day.

The trick to throwing BIG BOYS is to toss them much like a football "O" ring first, this way when they hit your target the rubber band is forced off the nade and the paint begins to swirl covering a good 10' radius It is when the banded end strikes first that you may experiance the bounce effect the nade will still discharge but it may be too far from your target at that point. Try this method out you"ll be pleased with the results.

Been playing Paintball for over 17 years. I have used just about every form of paint Grenade out there and some that are no longer legal (actually contain small explosive charge). Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, beats the Atomic Ordnance Big Boy. I have literally thown hundreds of these and they have worked every time but one (I threw it to shallow). Beware of the imitations floating around out there.

I got one in a free order with my marauders, I was standing in my living room and i was just holding it.... It exploded all over me! It didnt have anny wraping on it though. I thing it came unwrapped while being shiped. (I guess there suposed to be wraped up untill you want to use it. learned that the hard way) Cleaning that orange crap of the walls was not much fun. my mom was sort of.... um...... disapointed.....shal we say.....

Lol, I laughed too, All you do with an F Bomb is pull off the wrapping, and throw.

I'm not such a fan of squad busters though. Five throws from 5 feet or so as hard as we could... and yet it bounced.... the sixth, it blew up.

my friend got a few f bombs and we tested one out. Much better then any other paint grenade I've use in the past.

I was wondering about that...oh it was so hard to fight the temptation of pulling the pin! LOL. So let me get this straight...the only thing you need to do is rip the wrapper off and toss it right? No pulling of the pin? Not even a little bit? An itsy teenie weenie little pull?

Ok, I've heard this works really well and I haven't really tried it. But for those of you for whom the nades didn't work next time try shaking it before you throw it. I heard it gets the dried or stuck paint out of the end and allows the paint to come out better.

I used one of the free ones i got a while back in a big game. I didnt see the mess it made because i threw it over a wall into a fort and was shot out soon after. But the ref inside told me it was hilarious. It landed butt end right at someones feet and the entire nade unloaded into his mask. Wasnt the most effective throw due to only one elimination but i wish i saw it because i would of laughed my butt off.

you can make a pretty cool genade launcher out of like 6 feet of surgical tubeing and a pouch for it to go in.

i got to use some f bombs at the EW. these things are great!

I threw an f bomb 15ft. in the air and it didn't go off. I was so mad.

The only thing I don't like about the Big Boy grenades is the trigger mechanism. The rubber band isn't a very good trigger because of how unstable it can be and once you unwrap the grenade you have trash left over. Say you have an chance to throw a grenade so you tear the wrapper off but before you can throw it your target moves, runs off, or gets eliminated by someone else. Now you have a "live" grenade in your hand. You can just throw it to get rid of it or try to continue playing while carrying around a "live" grenade. At over $4.00 for one grenade, neither is a good option. I don't know why they don't use the standard ring and pull-pin design that works so much better and allows you to replace the pull-pin if needed.
