Prohibited Paintball Marker List

SPPL Disallowed Markers

...

Electro-Pneumatic Autocockers (Worr Blade, Eblade, E1, E2, Sandridge, Racegun, and all variants).

SPPL Generally Allowed Markers

...

Autocockers with Sandridge electronic conversion.

also, If I make my own e-pneu conversion, is it still illegal?
Im planning on customizing my cocker for woodsball play, including an e-pneu conversion (VERY simple, semi-auto ONLY) I have a great iea for a low-profile conversion for a cocker to be used as a sniper gun.

The Sp8 is an Ion with a different body.

Ions are electropneumatic.

They are not allowed.

Spec ops should tell us why electro-pneumatic are not allowed...
Why are they not allowed?
The ion/sp-8 with a blackheart board can be capped at the touch of a botton, to 14.7 BPS.

Re the past six or so posts.

The SP-8 is scenario legal. Its not SPPL legal.

SpecOps has said why they do not allow them at this time. Repeatedly. As they initiated the SPPL it was felt that by prohibiting the e-pneus they could better attain the objectives of what they are trying to promote within the SPPL. The subject was heavily debated by the SpecOps staff. Its their league and they make the decisions.

Currently they absorbing all these wonderful comments and in the future may decide to change the rules. Exactly what form those changes might take is an unknown at this time.

There are many good arguements on both sides of the question. Meanwhile, if you wish to participate in the SPPL, you play by their rules. For those who want to play but are limited by being burdened with expensive e-pnues, you can pick up an e-spyder or clone for less than $150. What's that? Two cases of paint? Its well worth it to participate in the league.

Bingo...touch of a button. Makes it far to easy to cheat on the field.

As for telling you why...it is simple. Spec Ops is trying to create a competitive wood ball format for the players who do not want to or can not afford the super guns that are out there now.

It is their league, their rules.

I've known a few players who could have bought high end markers but like playing the format of sppl and play good enough tatics not to need the high end stuff. Some of them spent the money they saved buying cheaper markers on things like launchers

Controller, i must ask you why you make such a comment toward me when the topic i brought up was a rather new one, there posts made by at least four people asking about the legality of the ion and sp8 but you say nothing toward them, only when i bring up a spyder question do you say anything. Now i know that you're going to say that spyders are all electronically assisted blowbacks, well aren't all smart parts markers electros? please don't make remarks toward one person when such remarks haven't been made toward all, i'm sorry i had to make such remarks on christmas, but something needed to be said

to make my post not entirely spam... With the five members over 18 rule, could this just be five parents sitting in the substitution area and the kids all play?

.....

I made the post because it was obvious you hadn't read the rules, and I chose to comment on you specifically because no one else had.......and I was in a bad mood which happens when you're in the middle of finals....
