I have the action ghilllie gun kit and I usually throw it on my markers as with some of my team members. Now the SPPL has rules about Ghillied players taking a hit and leave the field regardless on if it would break or not. Does this apply to players who are using the action ghillie/burlap ghillie on their markers (which I would highly doubt would bounce) or say used the extra to attach to a hat?

I know it doesn't really say in the rules, I'd rather have it cleared up as a just incase.

If you are not wearing action ghillie on your body then you are OK regardless of what is on your gun... unless it's like... a shield or something but even then a hit is a hit.

I know you have seen my action ghillie remake, do I count for this rule too? I bet I do, but jist need to make sure.

not a rule question but,

Quote

5.0 Game field. The field shall be approximately five (5) to ten (10) acres total size. The field shall have three primary objectives which shall be "take and hold" type objectives (bases) and three minor objectives, which shall be "capture" type objectives. Ten copies of a map of the field, showing major objectives, elimination zones and any other noteworthy features, shall be given to each team. These maps shall be made available to the teams at least one week prior to the game.

Maps aren't available at The Bunkers and game is 10th
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and a finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great Vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my Vengeance upon thee."

I don't remember where, but in a post some where in here, Rory said not this year since it costs to much and they are trying to minimize the loss this year as much as possible I think but not jeopardize the overall theme and thought behind the SPPL. I hope I'm not misinterpreting.... I don't believe I am.

Although there is no age limit on fun; the reasoning behind the age bracket for the Nationals is due to the Grand Prize. Yes its a truckload of sweet gear, but it goes beyond just that.

The overall winner will become the metaphoric poster team for the SPPL, needing to travel and promote the SPPL thus entering into a legal binding contract to do so...

No. The Ion is an electro pneumatically operated gun. Does not qualify for the SPPL.

Double Check with Spec.Ops1 on that Ion... last I read they were still on the prohibited list.

also Rocket round update... 10 rocket round cap was imposed in the Southwest and it was going to be the new standard.

any... ANY electro pneumatic is NOT allowed. Electro assisted blowbacks ARE allowed.

I'm suprised no one else has asked this.....but is a Tippmann 98 custom with e-bolt allowed? Technicaly it is not blowback or fully pnuematic because a spring returns the ram.

the e-bolt is not.. it is electro-pneumatic operation

The e-grip is allowed.

can spec.ops verify this? Another reason I would think that it would be legal is because, like stated in the rules, the dwell and all other settings cannot be changed without tools. Also in rules "All Tippmanns" so this really makes me feel like it is ok, but I would like to be sure.

Technically the E-bolt would not be allowed because it is an electropneumatic. However I actually HAVE one of the Tippmann Effect team tournament guns with the modified Matrix LCD board in it. They cannot fire over 14 bps (even if you try to make them shoot faster by playing with settings of any kind) so we would not be to concerned with a Tippmann 98 with the E-Bolt. It's one of those gun in the "grey" and we would be "OK" with one being used in the SPPL tournament.
