The apex would be imbalenced but would come in handy for daggers & sabers. It seems like it would be better in speed ball or tourneyball. You would probally need harder balls because of the sudden change of direction.

The flatline would be best for broadswords and ok for snipers. The need of high velocity for best performance makes co2 come out of the end, so it is not ideal for snipers, but if you have a scope it's good because of its flat shot. It's best for the broadsword because of distance for cover fire.

I'm keeping my flatline, and puting an apex on my speedball gun.The flatline was made for distance not for shooting over & around bunkers, so there is no compareison.END OF STORY!

correct me if im wrong, but the apex barrel is 16.5 inches long, and all the reviews on pbreview have agreed on that length..

Also, 16.5+ lenght of gun= bad for speedball, doesnt make sense to me.

Actually...you are mistaken. I'm not sure where this talk of 16.5" started..but it's way off. The barrel...regardless of threads...is just shy of 11" in overall length. When on my Tac One, it extends out 8.25" from the front of the gun.

So...it's actually a very short barrel in comparison to most.

Except...the Apex would also be better for Broadswords and Snipers.

For Broadswords...it shoots further than the Flatty.

For Snipers...it is MUCH quieter than a Flatty.

For everyone...it is more accurate than the Flatty until you put it in "super Flatline" mode at which point accuracy suffers but you are out-shooting the Flatty considerably.

It's not as accurate as a kit or say a Stiffi...but when used as a normal barrel (spin turned off) I'd put it on par with a J&J ceramic or a Lapco Big Shot. When in Flatline mode, it's hard to compare it to anything other than to say it's "more accurate" than the Flatty since the Flatty is the only other barrel getting that range. I haven't had the chance to do any precise field testing yet but from 100-150 feet, you'll be hitting your mark probably 90% of the time. When in "Super Flatline" mode, there is simply nothing to compare it to. I would primarily use this mode for supression fire though so simply the fact that it can put it out that far is enough. There is alot of spin though so there is a noticable "floating" to the ball.

How much does it out shoot the flatline?Does it need a higher velocity for best performance?Does it need better balls?Does any one have a price? What about all the other things I said? Is it harder to use than the flatline? I also like the the fact that you can mount a barrel-mounted item. Can you do that with the apex. dude i dont know what was wrong with the one you used but i have one and it works great...also i highly agree with 2 of the other posts on here...mine is only like 10.5"...this thing out shoots a flaty by a long shot...as a normal barrel it works great too...you dont need any xtra velocity and no its not hard to clean , you can use a swab or squeege.
