the organizations main site, allowing people to donate and purchase shirts, posters, among other items to suppor the 'cause.
So of course, I had to do some research, as I'm not particularly willing to jump on board with organizations 100% unless I know a little bit about them. So I pulled up these two articles.

This one basically says that the company is using the donations for their own personal game and are a complete scam. The second, again bashes the company, stating that the company backs up the army despite the accusations agains the Ugandan army of Rape and Murder.

Since it's going viral, I figured I'd ask, what's your guys take on the whole situation? And do you think America shuld be involved at all? Is it our place to step in and correct the issues of other countries, or do we just let them go their course unless they are a direct threat towards us?

Found a lot of the same stuff you have. Like how only 1/3 of the money they brought in ($8.7 million), has actually gone to Africa, and then, it's given to the militaries there (including the Ugandan Army and Sudanese People Liberation Army, who are just slightly less worse than Kony, because they don't use Kids). Oh, and the fact that they have exaggerated the numbers of Kony's acts to make him look worse? Oh, and Kony hasn't been active in Uganda since 2006...
But throw together a good video, and profit!
This is a huge e-peen stroker for the creators... who are seen here with the Sudanese PLA!

Then, while the kids are playing Pokemon, SEALs/Delta/Whoever roll in and compromise the adult leaders to a permanent end, and roll out, leaving a bunch more AA batteries for the kids.
[Additional Thought], the more I look at the creators of this White Man's Burden propaganda holding those AKs/RPG, the more I laugh.

Think about it. Stuff like this is happening all over Africa. We're trying to think of all the countries that don't have some sort of Religious or Tribal violence.
I could come up with Morocco, South Africa, and Nigeria as places "I'm pretty sure aren't screwed up". Egypt is still dealing with the Military not handing over power, or they would be on the list. So, if we send the military in to fix one problem, well we might as well stick around and fix all of them! Build military bases all over Africa! Yay Military-Industrial Complex!

Take a look at the dates on these articles:
The Economist - search LRA
2) Yes, the LRA really is that bad...
one of the articles from the search above, dated 2003:
The Economist "Thou Shalt Not Kill"
The child soldiers are used as a source of easily replaceable cannon fodder mostly, those that survive grow up indoctrinated into the LRA as true believers.
Sure, the recent internet attention is kind of silly & shallow...but the horror of military & sexual slaver of 10s of thousands of children is all too real.
