Any snowboarders on the forum?

Snowed about 6 inches in my area, so me and my friends built a jump on a local hill. Now I am dieing to go.

I ride snowblades (AKA trick skis) myself.
Sadly I came out to Iowa for grad school... not much for mountains out here - especially not compared to what I'm used to back home in Denver...!

Connecticut's "Mountains" aren't too great but it's better than nothing. I can't wait for there to be enough snow.

Ummm, real snowpants not jeans...? To be honest if it's your first time going it will be pretty obvious. But who cares? Basically, don't worry about what people think of you and just focus on learning and having a good time. And depending on where you're going, enjoy the scenery too!

I think most people can tell how good a rider is by just watching them on one run. Just go in whatever and have fun.

Trust me, I'm a skier. But all my friends snowboard, so I went with them one time.
Wore my ski stuff, looked legit, and off the slopes no one knew the difference.

My problem is, I have no heel balance. So when I had to turn to my heel side, I would ollie and do a 180 and some grab. People actually thought I was really good haha.

I've been outside in a t-shirt and jeans and been comfortable the passed week or two (except Thursday the 17th) and been fine. At most, I had on one of my flannel shirts.

Mountain opened this weekend. 6 Trails open and snow guns going on every single trail. It's very difficult to snowboard while snow is constantly being sprayed on the trails. Terrible conditions but at least I got to go :)
