You seem like one of the brighter ones in your age group...not that that means very much sometimes, but thats not your fault :D :dodgy:

My first game of paintball was March of 1986. My latest was last week.
I shot Bob Long in the ass with a Splatmaster...twice. In 1988.

It was an outlaw game near Sunol CA...the original Iron Men were there (the Good...the Bad...the Ugly). A few other local teams - Wolverines, Lost Boys, Wild Geese, Horsemen's Brigade - also showed uo. Neat field with railroad tunnels, creeks & rocky hillsides. Totally outlaw, just pull over to the side of the road & hike for 10 minutes. No chronos, no refs, only a few masks (most of us only wore goggles then), fewer air tanks as most of us still ran with 12 grams. Guns were basic - a few Nel Spots, some PGPs & Splatmasters. Brass Eagle Nightmares were new & scary. Gun mods were done with PVC pipe & duct tape.
I was a Jr. in high school, Bob wasnt much older...

Im pretty sure the attached pics were taken that day....same field at least for sure.

Sounds like a movie! Get the guy with the deep voice to read that, and it would be!

Lol, I was feeling old school lately when I had to explain to a kid that an Ego is just a version of the old Intimidator (which he had no idea what an Intimidator was...), and explain that it was an old 3-way on an autococker, NOT a weird looking LPR. I have been humbled.

What keeps paintball alive for me? The community. Nothing but the community.

Right now i'm burnt out from a tough season, i haven't even felt like playing recently. I don't know if its just that, i think working at a paintball field helps contribute to me being so burnt out. Always being around the sport, i've almost lost the urge to play. But every time i go to a team practice, or a sunday byop at my local field, i see all the awesome people i've met because of this sport, and remember why i'm apart of it, and why i can't leave it.

Bitches and guns, this is every man's dream. I don't want to go home, where I'm just an ordinary human being...
