First off, If im posting this in the wrong spot please move it.
Well after years of playing paintball i quit for some reason and after even more years of not playing i think its time to get back into it. My gun and gear have been hanging on my wall for 6 years and i took it down last night and after about an hour of disassemble, removing grease, changing O-rings and putting new lube in i took it outside to fire it and when i put the tank on it sounded good for a few shots but then stopped and started to hiss out of the barrel and uncock. i would have to cock the gun again to stop the hissing but whenever i would pull the trigger it wouldnt push out enough air to fire a shot ( sounded like a louder version of cocking and shooting with no tank on) then would hiss out of the barrel again. i have a Tippmann A-5 with an MP MAG AIR-THRU KIT website i found since this one doesn't sell it anymore. ( i did buy it from this site but it was 6 odd years ago) i want to try to repair myself because money's kind of tight now. so if im missing any information or you guys require any more please ask.
Thanks
-Conor

just a quick update, after looking up the tank i use i think im using a low pressure nitrous tank. my brother also has the same tank except the top of his is blue and mine is red. i tested my gun with his blue topped one.they are both a 4500PSI 70 C Crossfire peanut tank. I believe that that can be the problem since the gun doesn't have a low pressure kit.
Edit: i found out that my tank is actually a high pressure tank. so im going to fill it up and try it out. i've also heard about different tank test's after being a few years old and since my tank is about 5+ years old will i need to get it certified or something?
Thanks Again.

Most places won't fill it with it being out of hydro, and that very well could have been the problem. the reg might've gone bad and bled air slowly over time.
Edit: Misread a bit, yeah, running that on an LP kit most likely wouldn't work, so yes, get your other tank (or both!) tested and certified then try it out with the HP tank, Should solve it,
its like what....$50-60 I think to send it to Ninja and have them test it and put one of their regs on it.

Just an update. i've tried a few old C02 tanks and after about 4 of them hissing after being plugged in i found a good one and the gun works wonders now! thanks!
