I just moved to a suburb of boston, Wellesley, recently. Once I finish all of the unpacking and such, what fields are good in this area?
Also, are there any events that should not be missed in this area?

Wow thanks for the prompt reply. I have college orientation for the june game, but I will see if I can make the August game. Are you guys local?

There are many fields in this state. Boston Paintball is indoors and not too far from you, i want to say they are in sommerville, but that could be the old store, bout 30 min drive. Fox 4 and Friendly Fire are in Upton, about a 40 minute drive. PNL is to your south.

I think you are on MCB, correct? You can always hook up with Splatttttt and play some Pump only games at the outlaw field. It is nothing but a great time, with great guys. Very laid back and relaxed. Always a fun time, no matter the turnout. We play a lot of Birthday Ball games (invented at Carter's Bday game a few years ago). Normally you only get as many rounds as there are other players on the other team. Though sometimes we are kind and play with 10 rounds total no matter what. Makes things very interesting and fun. Lots of movement, no one wants to fire unless it is a guarenteed hit

I am not on MCB yet, but I plan to get on there in the future. I don't own a pump though, and while I want to get one, I dont have funds as I am going to college soon.

Unfortunately I think my mag is going to go in a trade or I will sell it for cash in order to buy a pump. While I am on the subject, are there any good pumps under 150?

Old SL 68's, New Tracers or old tracers can all be had for under $150. Might be able to snag a barebones M16 gripped phantom for that too. You don't need a pump to play with us. We all bring loaners, many of them. So you will never be without. I have 5 SC pumps, trust me you can alwyas use one of mine. ;-)

Big game saturday at PNL. Lots of us going to be there.

Sorry, I have been working a lot, and not on very much. I need to buy a pump because I am going to be a college student, and won't be rich enough to afford a semi.

Legato or any other locals, are there any good shops around?

From Wellesly...you can hit up either of the Boston PB shops. One is in Framingham on Rt 9. The other is where their field is, in somerville i believe...or did they move to revere or somewhere else in boston....crap i always forget the name.... www.bostonpaintball.com . Outside of that, not sure, Fox 4 has a pro shop at the field in Upton, www.fox4paintball.com . PW has a shop in Plainville, but that is a bit of a hike for you.

Take the Town should be pretty awesome; I had a blast last year playing with my buds on TBF (and good news: it turns out I'll be able to make it this year! And hopefully with some Creapers in tow )

Also, coming up is the Red vs. Blue game at Fox4 on August 6th, Band of Brothers at OSG Paintball in New Barnstead, NH (a bit of a drive, but absolutely worth it), then a few others in September and October.

I'm particularly excited for Operation Urgent Fury October 15th at Fox; Greg Hastings will be Red General and Ben Tippmann will be Blue.
