I wont just repeat what everyone else says, so ill just add my two cents.

Join the military. Get in as soon as you can and get the hell out of that place. In the military you'll be shoved through boot, where you'll grow some manhood and your eating/motivational problems will disappear. Also you'll get out of that hell hole long enough to think straight. Then you'll get a career in the military that can have a civilian counterpart, and you'll be set. Im sure you could find cheap housing on base to get out of that place. Then when you have the time, go back and take whats left thats yours and never look back.

Not necessarily the best choice for everyone, particularly someone in emotional distress...

He wouldn't be the first mentally/emotionally distressed member of our fine military. Might even work out pretty well...

Drill Sargent: You got a lot of rage boiling up inside you, don't you son?!
Super_Stalker: Yes Sir!
Drill Sargent: Good. Here's an M-16.

A big +1 to PW. Well, aside from the "or" statement. I don't want her either.

I'll skip that part, because he covered it better than I would have.

Joining the military is great for some, and bad for others. With all the good comes some BS to tolerate (ask anybody who serves/who has served on the forum and they can tell you). Whether or not it'll help you is uncertain. Does solve a few logistical problems though if you're having a hard time figuring them out, but I wouldn't recommend joining just because you don't know how else to solve the housing situation.

It'll be rough for a while, no doubt. But grow up and take care of what needs taking care of and don't look at pills to somehow "fix" it. They won't.

Not to really rub it in, but
Spoiler

I looked into joining .mil but no one will take me. All I have is a GED and I have asthma. In order to join I would have to stop using my inhaler for a year minimum and I would have to have I think 27+ college credits.

By the time I got both of those prerequisites I will be out of the situation.

But god has smiled on me I believe. Since this situation started I've been trying to reconnect with him. Definitely helps to go to church and volunteer to keep my mind off of things.

1: I found my lost paintball gear. I still need a couple things for my mag and phantom. As well as a mask and tank. but I'll be able to go paintballing again soon. Gives me something to look forward too once a month.

2: I'm getting signed up at the local CC. They have an opportunity grant program that I qualify for. This will essentially pay me to go to school. The counselor is willing to help me tweek my credits to help me with my long term goals.

3: I have a friend that is going to give me a mid-late 90's ford pickup. It has a 7.3L and a 5 speed. Needs some electrical work done but I figure it will give me something to do.

4:I found a counselor that is willing to see me for $40 a session. My first appointment is on Monday.

But I just have to wait for the time being. Till said items fall into place I will be mostly idle.

Sorry about that. I'm at work and we are having issues with the wifi. My phone sent after I was reconected instead of after the "here's an m-16" comment.

Sounds like youre on the right track. Church is a great place to restart your life, as is community college and especially paintball. Nothing can take your mind off of life like paintball.

Eh, the "OR" was to try and stoke a burning little ember of "FRAG you whore". Pissed off is a fantastic motivator. It's done some awesome things for me.

At least I didn't recommend taking up drinking.

Though I do hear you about the "pissed off motivation."

I can think of something else that would work instead of anti-depressants, but it's also not cheap.
And would totally knock out the whole Military thing.

But it's a tried and true method for folks that work in Kitchens.

My job is to be an asshole. I excel at the position.

Got on my anti-depressants today. We're trying something, I'm going to stay with my mother for a month. After the month we are going to sit down and see if we can work things out between us. If not I'm leaving and taking my money with me. The latter is the most likely outcome.

I also landed a second job today. So even more money for me so I can go paintballing.

I really need to do this... though with summer coming up, it's mowing season!
And I make bank doing that.
