Ive actually grown tired of my forum name (which coincidentally is basically my real name without my firsts names last 3 letters). The question is as stated in the topic, how can I change my forum name?

Im basically doing it because I have no intention of showing up to an event with a shallow lifeless name like edtoro on the back of my vest. Also I want people to start recognizing me by my alias/nickname.

Easiest way is to PM an admin with the name you want. Keep in mind certain things won't be used due to rules violations. In some cases a screen name can't be used because it's someone's log in name.
