Charging the base at the end to win was sooo epic!

That needs to be fixed.

The RE game is fun, but these are better in my opinion.

So, moving this discussion and planning further.

Do we want to get some sort of custom shirt set up for the forum members who go? Sort of like what the Commonwealth does at OK D-Day. I think it'd be a great idea, and we may need to draw in some more people to make this fly. My guess is that we don't have too many because it's so far out, and we may be able to draw more forum members in as the 2011 season actually starts rolling around.

Once the snow melts up, sometime in March I'll go out there with a video camera and do recon for those who haven't been there before. Get a rough idea of the land and be sure to point out all the big items.

Oh, and be sure to tell people about the event/this group. The more we can draw in, the better it'll be.

I should be able to get a couple buds travelling down with me, whether they're actual players or walk ons, the more the merrier.

I'll be going, and I'll pay for MW alliance. I have no issue joining up with the SO squad, I have been there 4 times now. Now I know at least one of the buddies I bring and I would be interested in SO shirts depending on price, and design. I'm keeping an eye on this thread now.

Ha ha, in fact my avvy pic is at the fall big Game last year.

Welcome aboard.

The shirts haven't quite taken off because we don't have that many people on board.

That said... who's good with graphics? I can steal, but I'm pretty bad at originals.

Well 'd be good for 3 shirts depending on price. I know a guy who draws on leather coats, and he drew skull on my mask, and he's just starting to tat people, but he usually just draws zombie esque stuff. I bet he could make a wicked Res evin themed shirt.. He is starting for money though, and relying on his art, so I bet I could talk him into drawing some sketches of shirts.

Sounds like it'd be worth seeing.

Probably something with the Spec Ops forum logo incorporated into it. Maybe the MWA logo, but not required since the focus is more on a group of SO forum members.

I'd hate to say it, but the guy who I know had a mild stroke the other day, so I doubt he'll be helping any on these. I just hope he is ok, he acts like it never even happened, but his drawing ability is diminished for now. It sucks too, because he was going to touch up my mask he did. Maybe the shirts are just too far out there.

There 4 guys going with my party, and we are planning on meeting at least one more over on a5og. Team Iyaoyas from is going to be there, and welcomed us to find them and say hi, maybe even run with them. My party will be camping near by to save some of the troubles, and we're bringing a blue canopy, adn we are planning on hanging my Tippmann authorized dealer banner off of the side, so people can locate us. If you see a huge black Ford super Duty Dually with semi lookin tires on it, with a canopy feel free to walk into out camp and talk to us.

Hope he recovers. That kind of stuff is never fun.

Big change happening this year - there's a one hour break at halftime, and then we'll be switching bases.

Yes, you will be playing from both sides of the field this year.

Unconfirmed rumor
Spoiler

Confirmed not-so-rumor - Neil of the Akkadians and better known for his role within the 716th Infantry Division at OK D-Day will be the opposing general. Neil is a capable leader, so unless he can't get the troops to play, expect a tough fight. I have worked with Neil and the Akkadians at D-Day, but also several other local scenarios.

I'm excited to play. :D :D :D I'm also hoping to make the game in July too.

Alright, the official announcement can go out.

Jake of the Pointblank Minutemen will be leading the MWA to victory at GBG XX. The Pointblank Minutemen are one of several field-sponsored teams.

Jake is a long-time veteran of the GBG game, but a first time general. We have the home field advantage over Neil (who has greater personal leadership experience), and Jake will not be out there alone. He will have multiple former GBG generals, myself included, providing him insight and advice before and during the game.

What does this mean? I get to run with you guys and shoot up people too :D
