I guess so.
Honestly, it doesn't really mater why, to me.
As long as I get the information I need to make decisions, Im good. Let the other folks waste their time if they want. ;)

People who say anything is possible never tried to slam a revolving door!!
There is no problem that cannot be solved with the proper application of explosives and duct tape.
How's that for a contradiction?

Ok guys,

Thanks for the help so far. I went to a local gun show and picked up a lower parts kit, hoague grip and magpul stock for a great price. I think i'm gonna buy my lower from a local store to cut through some of the red tape, i hear it's difficult to get one over the web.

Now I'm looking for a complete upper reciever. Flattop, 5.56, 1/7 16" with everything I need. I am trying to keep the price low, but quality is more important. Does anyone have any suggestions for brands? Also, what should the approximate cost be? I saw a couple daniel defense models for like 760... is that a fair price?

Links to the product itself would be awesome.

Thanks again fellas, i really appreciate all your help.

 on the Hogue grip.

760 for a flat top M4 DD upper sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Worth what?

I will say Rock River makes great rifles. And at a pretty good price.

There was a chrome-lined barrel option for $40 i think. I was asking if it was worth the additional cost. But i spoke to a friend that has had some experience with rifles, and he recommended it. Its on its way to me :)

Nice. As far as chrome lining, it improves corrosion resistance and makes cleaning easier. Some say it can hinder accuracy if there is any unevenness in the application, but I've never seen anything to back up that claim, so to me it's hearsay.
