for starters what belt do you have? And protection from what paintballs or impact from hitting the ground?

If any pads, knee and elbow. You honestly don't really need pads in woodsball from my experience unless your the type that gets hardcore on the ground crawling around.

What kind of gogs? What about your setup?

Don't get caught up on "oh I'm a dagger player, I have to do this". Play paintball.

You're good to go. Might want to invest in groin protection of some sort and possibly something for your neck.

I seriously reccomend good knee protection.

In all my years of playing knee injuries have been the most common. Cuts, gouges, scrapes and pattela damage can all be prevented with a good set of knee pads.

I personally do a good amount of crawling jumping, sliding so I use full knee/shin pads. Currently using a set of older JT that have a hard inner shell like good motorcycle armor.

My next pair will be Valkin after searching to see what the industry is offering now. The Valkin knee/shin and elbow/forearm pads both offer dual density gell padding that is seriously comfortable as well as offer high leveles of pretection.



As a front play I also suggest gloves. You will be often times first as well as consistan contact for you team. You will be shot at closer ranges and those up front finger shots make me squeel like a fat kid loosing his cupcake to the family pet.

Hands shots from close are the WORST! I took one last weekend getting bunkered and i just walked out of bounds, set my gun down, and watched all the blood come out of my hand. The shell made tons of cuts so right now it looks like there was an astroid that crashed on my hand.

Were they all over your fingers? the same thing happened to me like 3 weeks ago, the way the shell shatters combined with how thin you skin is on the top of your fingers cause it to cut them all to pieces.

I do not have this problem....I wear gloves....


Now the high pitch glass shattering scream of my fingers getting crushed to death on my gun by paintballs...I have yet to solve that problem.

I should have clearified that then. I play in full finger gloves. I understand why guys cut the fingers off or wear the guantlets though....I just simply do not play the speedball game enough to need that kind of trigger dexterity.
I can hit a fairly consistant 11 to 13 bps and that is plenty good for me.

I prefer fingerless. I find them much easier to work with.

Gloves=goood idea. My fusion 7 pants have great crotch protection, but I could still benefit from knee and or elbow pads.
