Good Luck. Simple physics just doesn't allow it.

More porting you make, the more air escapes, which makes your efficiency go down because it takes more air to push the ball out of the barrel at the speed you wish to be at. Thus, the more porting, the less efficient.

Fixing the problem stops air, which keeps it from venting the air. You can't argue physics, it's just the way the world works. But good luck nonetheless.

Bob long, dye and others started as barrel builders. Many said the flatline wouldn't work. So I'm always opened to new ideas. Somebody invented the rifled musket and kentucky rifle, many died while their bosses argued that the theory is unfounded.

It will all be released at once, with working designs released once in a while. Hey do any of you know where i can find a cheaper unported barrel? I need to test

The difference is the flatline had some theory in physics that made sense; the issue was if it could be done in practice and if the paintball would survive the experience.

This idea is in a direct contradiction to physics.

The VL Orion had two unported barrels with the marker. The shorter barrel had less breaks and was more accurate. Of course the barrels were only machined finish. At that time it was believed the longer barrel would be more accurate.

Maybe the OP is building a snub nose barrel with porting. Who knows?

Everyone says physics wont allow. I say screw that. I think anything can be done, and I really dont care if I am wasting my time, because it will work in the end.

Ha, you can't just ignore physics man. Don't think of it as criticism, think of it as a starting point to your solution. Your problem is how to maintain velocity while decreasing sound report. In probably every single case, beneficial results in one area means adverse effects in the other. If you can find a way, all the power to you bro-sky. Keep at it. Porting the barrel is out of the question for you, though. You just need a new system IMO.

My friend had a theory that, instead of reducing sound, you could try redirecting it. How? That's your job.

I would be very interested to see where this goes. While the laws of physics are against you on this one, maybe there is a loop-hole. What ever it is, good luck brochacho. I am quite interested.
