ok so im building a new SAW for my team. it will be styled off of a light machine gun probably a M-60 or a M-249. i usualy dont build SAWs and stuff like that. so i was wondering what i should make the base marker. i was first thinking an A-5 then i read up on the X-7 phenom and wanted to use one of those. but im sure yall have more knowlege on the subject of LMGs than i do. so what would you use for a base marker and how would you set it up?

The A-5 has plenty of options already afforded to it when it comes to modding up. Opsgear offers a selection on the LMG options- barrels, body kits, stocks, foregrips, mags, etc. Spec Ops kinda drifted from the hard goods so you won't find them here. How much are you willing to spend?

Also, it was mentioned before (kudes to that person) that the x7 and A5 may share the same mounting points, and you should research that as well to see if you can buy certain A5 mods for the X7.

Opsgear's SAW mod is pretty legit.

And you could probably hit up Engler. They do God's work on mods. You could probably do a .30 cal. I know they have one for the A-5 maybe they'll fit one to a X7 for you.

Just give us how much you're willing to spend.

If you really wanna do the milsim thing right... talk to Tommikka. I believe he dropped an Ion in a SAW airsoft shell & it looks dead-on amazing. He posted up the build somewhere, not sure if it was on this site though.

im just gona do it like im doin my current project and build it slow over time. my projects seem to go better that way cause i can buy all the best quality parts and think harder bout what im doin while i build. so price in the end realy isnt an issue. just the more it costs the longer the build lasts. (and thats fine by me)

well it kinda comes down to how real you want it to look. opsgear/rap4 have saw shrouds i believe. airsoft works well too. if you're handy with tools maybe make one out of some wood?
