Unless you have ever been around something that honestly shoots at 30 bps you simply do not understand what it sounds like.

sounds like a slopy mid 20's at best.
intersting concept and build but I fear its unpractical and very inefficient

An E-grip on any gun, all it dose is the eye on the grip scenes the hammer going back and forth. If it is set for 3ball burst, the eye lets the hammer cycle3 times then it reengages. All I did was let the hammer free to cycle as fast a possible.
If you took a high end electro and did the same thing, your bps will be SUPER HIGH cause the parts are light. The A5 has heaver part so its bps are limited by weight.
The A5 has a programed set safe speed at 23-25bps. All I did was remove the sear to allow it to fire freely. This will allow it to hit about 30-40bps. A prolonged fire will result in broke parts, but not if you burst shoot it.

You can't do it to a high end electro because there is no sear....

Please understand this, I have seen this thread so many times. I was reading this thread when it was still on 98s and not the a5.
First off basically no hopper can keep up with 40 bps, most hoppers wouldnt be able to keep up to 30.
And before you start saying they could think of this fact. A hoppers free fall rate isnt near what a hopper actually does when its on a gun.

TIPPMANS. CANNOT. FIRE. PASSED. 25. BALLS. PER. SECOND.
Especially on CO2 like that video you posted. That was maybe 20, and WITHOUT PAINT. It probably wasn't even fully cycling on a few (or more) of those shots.
I actually have some suspicion on the DM8 shooting 40. Though I'll believe a DM8 does 40 before a Tippmann does 30.
We put our glass to the sky and lift up. And live tonight 'cause you can't take it with ya. So raise a pint for the people that aren't with us. And live tonight 'cause you can't take it with ya...

Ok LV ... you ask can an A5 do 40 cycles/sec. Not without some kind of electro or pneumatic assist.
