For beer I like Coors banquet, and alot of Sam Adam's seasonal lagers..

For liquor I love me a good, aged golden rum, or some tanqueray gin with tonic and a pinch of lime on ice.

Gin + tonic is heavenly.

I prefer bourbon over scotch. Had a bottle of The Glennlivet 12yr. That was really good. Also had a bottle of Johnny Walker Black that was a good bit smoother than the Glenn. I absolutely love bourbon though. My favorite so far is Ridgemont Reserve 1792. Woodford is good too, but has more of a bite than the 1792. Four Roses is also an excellent bourbon. My favorite mixed drink, hands down, is the white russian. I always have Kahlua on hand. I do also love a good gin and tonic. For everyone who doesn't like gin, next time you go out get a gin and tonic or a Martini made with Hendricks gin. I promise you it will change your entire view of gin.

I used to drink the really cheap stuff back when I was younger. Our staple drink was Sterling Vodka for $9.99 per half mixed with Mello Yello. That stuff is downright foul.

Anymore, though $12 per 750ml is as cheap as I will go. My cheap beer of choice is PBR. Can't be beat for $13/30

1792 ain't bad at all, it's a bit smoother than the Woodford, and I certainly wouldn't turn down a drink of it. I just like that little extra bite of the Woodford, especially as it is still VERY mellow, especially for a 90 proof.

EDIT: Also, just saw the White Russian mentioned. I got about half a liter of Kahlua, a gallon of milk, and most of a pint of Absolut.

I has an idea . . .

i went to a Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch tasting a month or two ago with PKJ. $3 for 10 tickets on your wristband, essentially 10 drinks, assuming the vendors all took tickets. :) That was fun. I am not a man of this type of liquor usually but PKJ is. So i figured whynot. I made it a point to only try the stuff from bottles worth over $250. Wow, the variety to choose from in the first place was awesome, then just trying them all out was great. You get to learn what you like and don't without having to drop $200 on a bottle to find out you hate it.

I don't like the peat tasting stuff as much. I loved the Glenleivit XV. Best one i had. There was stuff called Roller Coaster, only 1000 bottles of it make it to the US each year. The company puts all their scotch/whiskeys/and bourbons into one drink. It's rough...definitly lives up to its name. I was surprised that some of the 30 year old stuff wouldn't taste as good as the 18 or 25 year of the same distillery for some of them. I did like that some vendors would conviently forget to take a ticket from you. XD I think i had like 15 shots before i left. I was buzzing hard. Thank god for Ruby Tuesdays next door to get some food.

I have. Bananas Foster and Cherries Jubilee mostly. I threw some Bailey's in a Chocolate Mousse I made. That was nice.

Pirate, you ever wanna get someone toasted without them realizing it, infuse some strawberries with Grand Marnier before making Tuxedoes with them. Did it as part of a creative project. Those things were great, and by the end of class, a lot of the girls were buzzing. I'll withhold some of the results, but I wasn't complaining. :D

Nah, the Glenleivit XV was the 2nd or 3rd one i tried. It just was super smooth and yummy. I tried to rinse my glass out as much as i could, so i wouldn't taint the next shot with the previous liquor. I don't have much of a refined pallete but i'd always try to do the official smell it, swish it around mouth to taste it stuff, try and notice differences between them all. Some of the end ones were pretty bad. That was where i was saying a 30 year aged one wasn't nearly as good as some of the younger ones. Or at least to me and like everyone else that tried it around me

Not quite. Just a lotta girls walking around going "Is it hot in here?" *Remove jacket, tie off shirts under boobs* x 15

And legs, I had to track down a Bourbon tasting after hearing that. Found one in Cary. Beer, Bourbon, BBQ, and Cigars.

Must. Go.
