Just introducing myself. Basically forum illiterate and amazed at the depth of the options. Chasbronson is my screen name, not sure if anyone has seen the movies, but it seemed like a cool name.

My four boys and I, have a rec ball field in South Central PA. The Minutemann Paintball. Located in the Chambersburg, Greencastle Gettysburg, Waynesboro, Hagerstown area. It started about six or seven years ago with a $50 paintball marker ant a yard sale. I have been since living my second childhood. We sawed the boards on our old mill, built bunkers, fought the army corps engineers, department of environment protection and soil conservation. We built a field, and hung netting and a parking ot. Set up a pro shot and installed 200 amp service.

We have enjoyed playing paintball, and bringing the fun to everyone else at our field. We have recently moved to a new field open to the public. We endeavor to keep paintball affordable to play as we can, without putting the whole endeavor in a hole. WE know of good candidates for paintball, but simply can't afford to play. For $30 we offer rentals with 500 paintballs.

In the future we would like to have a sponsor program set up so that people can donate so some of the kids that can't afford to play will still get that opportunity. We have sponsored some ourselves before, right now we are doing one Saturday a month to pool players. We need players, the field is worth playing, we play, so we know. It's not Skirmish or Tippman town but it's not too woodpiles in the woods either.

We would like to post pictures some wheres, but don't know how. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Sincerely Mr. Bronson.

ps. I figured out how to upload a picture of 2006 photo of me and minuteman maybe?? Sorry pics failed

Welcome to the forum...That's all I really had to say, sounds pretty cool. Have you considered doing some type of special group for those kids that can't afford to play with normal costs. Divide em up into teams and keep those same teams for a season and work on their skills? You could have them help out at the field in exchange for the discount?

Oh...and indeed, T-Freak isn't even a paintballer. So avoid him at all costs, plus, he's a confederate rebel...

These kids are sporadic as their homelife hard to get consitancy with them.It would give them a sense of belonging though, good idea. Thanks

Welcome to the forum buddy! Doesn't sound like your a noobie but maybe a forum noobie. Your field sound sweet and posting pics is a must. To do this is really simple. Take a photo with a digital camera, then you can use one of the many downloadable photo editing programs to crop and size it. Most photo editing programs have a "save for web" function that really helps with this. From there get a Photobucket account to host your photos. Once your photos are downloaded you can coppy and past the Image code (the code looks like this- [IMG]http://i563.photobuc...tball/MyGun.jpg[/IM])

Good luck man!

BB

Thanks for the instructions. I will walk my way thru it by those. My former attempt failed.

For the most part this is a pretty relaxed "family friendly" forum. You're obviously not a teenager anymore :P so I assume your maturity will help you avoid any flame wars (fighting, namecalling, the like) that typically get people warned. The mods & admins here are cool so if you have an issue w/ something shoot them a private message (pm).

The most common annoyance that new members fall into is necroposting, this typically takes place in the buy/sell/trade subforum. Basically posting in a thread that hasn't been active for a very long time which brings it to the "top" of the page. If it's a general discussion topic in a subforum other than BST that hasn't been posted in for a while, it's okay to post something as long as your post is informative & adds to the discussion... not just "I agree." If it's a BST topic that hasn't been posted in for more than 3-4 weeks, just send the seller a pm to see if the item is still available. A lot of times members try to sell things on multiple forums & don't keep track of their sales to keep them up to date so sending a pm is usually an easier way to get a hold of them.

Good luck w/ the field. Later.

Congratulations Member No. 56,668! :welcome:

I also work with youth and fully support what you're doing. We do a similar thing with people in our area. We don't have a field and are forced to play mostly outlaw, but we (and when I say "we" I mean me and a couple of my friends that play regularly) invested in some low-end dependable markers to use as loaners. I know it's kind of a small attempt to spread the paintball bug, but if we can have 6 or 7 new players come with us each time we play, well it's slowly growing the sport. The three of us have gear enough for ten, and as the rule goes, "The more the merrier!"

I'd say you get MO's stamp of approval! :P
If you are a Christian paintballer, put this in your sig

:P As Big Bones said you can upload pics to a hosting site like photobucket.com. Images can be linked here by using the image tags.

So

When you post you will see some buttons in the posting window. These are tools for posting. Click this button ... Posted Image ... and paste the url (http://www.pacificge...3A-BLK-R-2.jpg) in the pop-up window.

If adding pics as an attachment they must be smaller than 2 mb and only certain formats.

If you wish to introduce your field then you may make a thread in this section http://forum.special...hp?showforum=14. The one thing we do not want though is a lot of commercial advertising here. ie My Proshop is having a sale on Tippmann Barrel Socks. However posting up big games and upcoming events is fine.

Enjoy your stay.

"Of course it is, it adds more grip, greater stability"

no the rabid bunny in the camera....the man being attacked could very well be you if you associate with T-Freak and a few of the other members.
