It's a Tippmann. Only shoot it in outerspace...

Seriously, the RC & a quiet barrel are the two easiest things to do. Neither will make it that much quieter, but it will be slightly noticeable. A low-pressure kit will quiet it, but they have issues & they are hard to find.

I've tried every other trick on line and those are the best two out there. If you really want a quieter marker, look at "other than tippmann."

Silencing a tippy is comparable to trying to silence a rocket launcher...just saying

The only other thing I could think of might be a lighter hammer (Ie. TechT Zero Kick) but no guarantees I got one on sale haven't had a chance to try it out and nothing to compare with directly.

Oh it's my main too (waiting for my Phantom to arrive ^^), and you can ambush by all means...it's just that everyone for a mile will hear you so make sure you don't miss and leave a way to escape or set up another ambush for anyone that comes to intercept :P

go buy a pump!
"I could be your third wheel."
"You know that's not a good thing right?"
"Of course it is, it adds more grip, greater stability"

I've done it before. works great you just have to maintain it and have a long quiet barrel. http://www.98og.net/98-mods-upgrades/2848-...e-your-m98.html

I know some people have put felt on the front and back of the hammer to help quiet it down. They have also put felt on the end cap. Another thing is to put expanding foam insulation (Great Stuff) in the dead space areas of the marker. I think some people have put heat shrink on the sear and trigger springs, but I don't see any reason why.

If you decide to use the Great Stuff you may want to make sure you will not be making any additional modifications like a vertical air kit, response trigger, or e-trigger.

Low pressure kits also work to quiet the marker. There are a few problems though. They are somewhat hard to find as they have been discontinued. It is also not a good idea to use CO2 as the volume chamber can act as an expansion chamber. If using a regulator and an expansion you want the expansion chamber before the regulator. Also markers that have had low pressure kits installed tend to be very finicky and problem-matic.

Pretty much what everyone has said. It's a Tippmann, don't sink too much time and money in it. In the end it will almost be the same. Save for something other than a Tippmann, well a Tippmann blowback anyway.
