Any tips? Things to remember? Or past experiences from you personally?

Really though, just drill and leave it all on the field, not much else you can do.

Talk, but dont annoy people. Be friendly.
Chill out and dont lose your head just because theres some pressure. Tournies > more pressure than try outs...

I was pretty excited. 15 bucks a practice which is all day air and paint and then I get to play open play for the rest of the day. Practices are 7-11 in the morning every other Saturday. We are doing a lot of local tourneys and the NPPL Chicago and las Vegas. There is also a 20 dollar monthly fee.
Unlimited paintball with great competion for $50 a month. What more could I ask for
Oh and the jerseys are siiiick!

You'll hate paintball after a year, trust me, been in your shoes. Check pbn, you'll see a ton of 08 guys selling tourney guns at half price because they "got tired of paintball."

Not necessarily. If you love paintball then you love paintball. I've been in the tournament scene for about a year now and an no where close to hating paintball.

Before you begin, ask yourself:
Do I enjoy just being able to go out and play paintball or do I only have fun when winning?
If you don't care whether you win or lose then it's not going to be very fun, if you play to win and are only satisfied when you win, then the tourney scene is for you. It's a bunch of people who are sore losers and bad winners. Superficial because they have nothing else to base skill on other than equipment. and everything is about rank. The D3 guys don't even want to talk to you much less play with you if you were on a D4 team.

At tournaments I have the do-or-die mentality. I will do everything short of cheating to win, because thats what tournaments are about. At practice I play my ass off, but there is less of a do-or-die mentality. Losing games at practice just shoes you what you are doing wrong and needs to be fixed. I don't know where you are playing paintball, because out here we are all still friends at the end of the day. When I started the guys that play L2 in MPS were glad to help us out. Now we are on the team with those L2 guys.

Personally I just enjoyed playing paintball, so while I prefer speedball, the tourney scene wasn't for me. After a couple seasons I gave it up.

Can't buy the jersey until you are on the team for a year. In the team handout, it says they do that to prevent jersey collectors. I have a tourney on June 11th I believe in south dakota. I am very excited. And they lend you a jersey for those. My dad is coming with to watch me play for the first time. Kind of cool. He loves all types of photography and has the big fancy type of camera. I am trying to persuade him to take pictures
And...I will tell you guys in a year if I burn out...
