I'd say mostly left, though right on occasion (such as when I last posted). I'd say less often than "almost exclusively" with the left though - closer to a balance than you by the sounds of it.

EDIT - Right's doing it again, as if to defy what I just said about left.

Figures....

Usually left, though sometimes right. I'm left-handed, if it makes any difference, though most aspies are still right-handed. And yes, I'm bouncing it right now.

Oh, and Ace, feel free to PM me.

Well, I don't have the definite answer for you, but I do have one thought:

What does it matter if you are "aspie" or "not aspie"?

Does somehow knowing that you're aspie (or on the other hand, confirming you're not aspie) somehow change who you are? I don't think so.

My personal opinion is that you are who you are, and adding a clinical medical term to your personality traits, mannerisms, and possible condition won't change it, for better or worse.

By all means, be aware of those with disabilities of varying kinds, but be sure to remember your talents too - the aspies can be pretty good at their interests. Take the good and bad of who you are, whether aspie, mix, or not at all.

EDIT .... I say this while the leg is bouncing.

I'm not at all paraniod about being an aspie. I'm just looking for an explanation and a satisfaction to curiosity.

I started creating a series of videos last year on Youtube, but stopped when depression got the better of me and I still haven't gotten around to making more.

Well, if anyone's interested:

http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php

It's a long quiz, it's by no means official, but it can be a pretty good indicator.

I took the quiz, and this is what I received...

You have answered inconsistently on too many control-questions

Sounds like you contradicted yourself.

I noticed several questions are written in pairs - these aren't actual questions, but things like "Do you enjoy reading?" and "Is reading something you don't care for?"

If you answer "yes" to both of them (or "no" to both), you contradict yourself.

I'm just guessing that's what happened. I don't know for sure.

Thalion's correct. The control questions are designed to prevent someone from just BSing the test. There's several questions that ask the same thing or essentially the same thing. As a result, you should try to answer consistently.

But I'm answering the questions the way I feel.

The hell?

I took it again, and answered a little more truthfully, more aware of what I was answering. Thought for sure I'd be closer to normal...

No, I got a higher score. It's not a problem, but it's still left me thoroughly confused.

I don't why I keep wondering about this. Warden, here's a question. If I were an aspie without knowing it, would I have a tendency to really want to know that I was one even if it didn't really affect anything?

I think it's just human nature to know who you are, aspie or not.

Me? Honestly I had no interest in the subject until this thread, when I started to see some very interesting trends and got me thinking.

Everyone wants to know who they are. Everyone wants an identity. Everyone wants to have somewhere they belong. And for aspies, that's often something they search for all their lives. I think you'd want to know WHY you're this way. Why you just can't seem to mesh with other people. Why you seem somehow apart. It's a question that's been somewhere in the back of your mind for a long time. You'd want to know, regardless of whether it changes anything.
