Root doesn't go bad. You installed an app or update that is messing with your phone. Find out what you installed or updated since this has been happening and uninstall it. If you just did an OS or firmware upgrade this could definitely be the cause of it.
Errors from widgets usually means you have them saved to the SD card and not on the phone where they belong. If you place them on the SD card when your phone boots it can't find them, so they error out. You MUST save widgets to the phones internal memory.

Bah... It's been doing this for a couple of months now.. Was just too lazy to deal with it.. I don't think I've done any OS or firmware upgrades... I didn't think root would even allow OTA OS updates? No idea what could have caused it... Bah. My accelerometer doesn't work anymore either. Screen doesn't rotate when I rotate the phone..
As for the widgets... How do you install widgets to the internal memory? Don't they go off of where the app was installed?
