New winter paint...or old summer paint? Decisions...decisions...

This year, I won a second case of paint (winter)...and an Empire Pod pack... (plus an extra bag or two of winter paint, one is sealed).
Which should I use first?
I understand that if you can drop paint from chest height and it bounces it should work...but at the same time I asked someone and they said winter paint gets weird in summer temperatures.
Haha, basically, I have like 5k paintballs sitting around I probably won't get out again til May due to exams -_-

Just store them in a cool dry place.

Prob better to use the old paint anyways, that way it doesn't reach a year old Just to confirm: drop it from chest; if it bounces its good?

It really depends on the gun and s6uch as well first see if there are any bad dimples...fire a pod if its breaking all over then dont use it if its shooting then its fine.
I have shots some CRAP...im talking 6 month old skittles (assortment of differnt brands of paint) and it worked fine.
My theory is if it isnt broken then im gunna shoot it.

I've done skittles too Ted. If you start with good paint and keep it nice....it works fine.

but when you go to a field that is FPO, and dont have their kind of paint...
it leaves you no choice but to let the old stuff sit more.. i even when i go to a BYOP field il pick up a case either at the field, or get a fresh box at a store.. but i fill my pods with the older stuff if they look good enough and dont break when i test fire my marker few weeks in advance.

As for the drop test, I'm fairly certain the drop test involves several drops before you should expect a break. If you had a paintball that broke after a single drop, that's a pretty fragile paintball.
