I'm having a bit of trouble with a G3 inline regulator, particularly the bottom o-ring right around where you adjust the velocity.

It needs to be replaced, and it looks a lot like a regular old tank O-ring. Would that work? Or is it a different kind of O-ring that just looks similar to a tank O-ring?

Just wondering whether anybody else has tried it before.

If it needs to be replaced, and is the same size as a tank o-ring (put one ontop of the other to make sure they are the same size, look at thickness/size), then just replace it with a tank o-ring. If that fixes the problem, and doesn't create any other problems, then you're set. If not, get a rebuild kit, take the o-ring out, and replace it with the proper one.
