And if you can't read it, the patch says "IPPA". I'll tell you all about that some other time.

I think I still have mine floating around somewhere....

Two videos, related. The first is a retrospective of the pants, the other is a QUICK look at the old school cloth jerseys.

Comments / suggestions / questions always welcome.

So far only one has offered to buy something. I'm tempted, but... it's my old gear man... I still kinda like it....

Times are rough but not THAT rough yet.

So far as I know, old paintball gear is like gold...it only goes up in value. (okay not a perfect metaphor i realize)

Especially the stuff you don't think is valuable, like used straps and sweaty raggidy dew rags...

PBN amazes me...aren't there straps floating around that can run 350+?

they are very specific about wich ones are "worth" big money. the ceiling has fallen on most of the strap sales now.but if you have good condition strap's some can get near 100.

So, lemme see if I got this right.

Kids decide that some straps are worth more than others, and they pay $100 for a worn out, stretched out strap that only makes them look a little old school when in reality most of us just bought what was out there, and didn't really care for the bright fancy ones becasue they gave your positionaway in the woods?

Why do I see it as like one guy who says "yeah, thats worth money" and everyone just goes with that?

ok so stay seated or have a seat lol. you will need time to digest this because it is asinine.

just what you said - they have established complete pricing and buyer guides, 100 page appraisal thread's etc. were they decide the value based on condition or what's hot at the moment. mainly revolving around straps and sandana's.
certain style's of sandana sell for up to $1000.00 if you own one then you can join "legit sandana owners clubs" there are also guide's on restoring goggle straps and how to "fade" a sandana so it look's "legit".

now that you have a legit strap and sandana you then have pro pix taken on the field and post them in special forums were you are judged for your look and how you hold your gun or stand behind a bunker. they then proceed to tell you what part of your clothing needs improvment or if you are "agg"

there are a few other clothing item's that are hot like some certain style's of jerseys mainly venomwear but somtime's renegade. at the peak and before the remake of the sandana jersey's you would see a set of pants and a matching jersey hitting $600 now a set is sub $300.

now a small group of the crafty kids will buy a whole set of the hot color, wich at the moment is "snakestripe" then cut the jersey and pant's into a dozen headbands and sell them at a decent profit.

remember when this crap was piled up at shop's and on clearence everywere? I was almost burned at the stake a few years back when I suggested to a kid who just paid 300 for a pair of venom wear pants. that venom wear wasnt really that popular in the 90's,he called me a noob.
