You have to add Olive Oil + water to effectively water down the grenades.
Coming soon.

Make it easier on yourself all you have to do is soften the paintballs up cut em open and put some in a thin water balloon. Unless you don't have a safe spot to put these. Also since its the thin ones it will explode on the person if its the thick balloons it ll explode on impact to the floor.

Balloons make crappy paint grenades. You need to use latex tubing. Also, using paintballs is very cost preventive.
Recipe #1- Using a standard 40 oz blender. Mix 1 cup of childrens washable craft paint with warm water. Blend for 1 minutes. While blending, slowly pour in 1/2 cup of Thick-It food thickener. Blend for 30 more seconds and STOP! DO NOT OVER BLEND.
Recipe #2- Get some cheap clear liquid hand soap and pour it in a bucket or bowl. Mix in childrens washable craft paint until the mix is colored well. Mix slowly with a large spoon. DO NOT USE A BLENDER. lol
