I've had my 08 for a while now...and I can say I love it to death. However, I've been offered this beast for my EGO...


I know a little about the AM, but how does it really compare to the 08? The only reason I would go for this is because of the drool-worthy lasering job done by Kohn. I prefer to shoot EGO's over Eteks simply because the EGO's are higher end and more mainstream than the Eteks. I know the 08 was built fancy, and it still is. The AM just seems more beginner-ish, and I don't want to seem beginner-ish whatsoever, because I'm the complete opposite. The EGO's are also "cooler" and that's another thing that matters to me. Yes I want to be cool. Deal with it.

So I'm looking for straightforward comparisons/preferences/opinions from ANYONE on both markers. Please and thanks guys!

From the specs the new Etek, it seems to be just about the same as an Ego 8.

I think all the negatives you mentioned about the eteks get cancelled out due that amazing laser job.

The Etek 3 is an Ego 8 jammed into a smaller body. It's going to shoot just as fast, smooth, and consistent as your ego8, and be lighter and offer a tighter setup. However, if you're trying to play competitively, a lot of people won't be able to get over the name.

As an EGO 08 and EGO 10 owner I would say just stick with the EGO 08.

They both are fantastic guns, and that is an amazing anno, but i think the 08 ego is a better gun.

Theyre too similar to trade IMO. If you want to, go for it, but dont expect any major improvements. I doubt you'll dislike it, but they're pretty even.
