Have you ever thought of other kids' electros when thinking of using a paint-thrower on the wee little lad??
I know I have. I wouldnt like to be the 12 year old lad that had to explain to his mom that a mean older kid took a tank of paint and started hosing everyone down... Everyone else was okay with their mechs though pissed that cleaning them would be an ass, but the poor lad's marker shorted out and its broken...

Furthermore - if you are "deuce-ing" during a game, you have more things to worry about than camo kneepads. - ger

Are you serious? Because if you are I have to say something like "If you can't take the heat..."
Even though this is a "Paintball forum" and that encompasses both genres of the game, the primary focus of SPEC OPS has always been geared towards the milsim and scenario player.
When you have big scenarios like Skirmish IoN, OK DDay, Texas Throw down, Fulda...and any other game/scenario revolving around replica military conflicts, you have at least 8:1 odds that the players are using milsim-decked gear. M203s...the constantly irritating threads on "Knife-Killz" and 'bayoneting' opposing team members...so guess what? Flame throwers CAN be constructed to replicate and fill some role in those games.
Do I want to get hosed down by one? Nope - but then again, I don't want to be overshot by some idiot with no concept of "trigger discipline" or shot at with hot markers either. I don't want to have to bonus ball that little agglett because he finally got his wiping speed up to par either. THAT all happens...doesn't it? Well then what's wrong with using this kind of apparatus to eliminate structures, tanks and disable bridges for a measured period of [game] time? This adds to the 'flavor' of the game...a whole new facet to face and obstacle to overcome.

LOL...see my way of thinking is it adds "flavor" to the game. My position is that they should be used for 'structures" more than for AP/AT devices. Hose a predetermined area of the structure and the attacker has technically vacated/eliminated it. Now an engineer has to rebuild the structure [say...a certain time frame] and the then-attacking force can occupy it as a defense position.
And I wear a Kilt...so that "saucy feeling" aka "swamp ass" - doesn't affect me
