Is the male end of the remote detachable from the ASA piece? (Ie. can I take it off of the ASA plug and put it into my Air-Thru stock)

Yes you can. That is the male end you see in the picture below without the ASA adapter.
There are a couple local players running this direce into the gun and a couple running into the air through stocks.

Most fill nipples are standard. If they weren't then people won't buy the product because they can't fill a tank everywhere or swap markers and use the same remote.

That's what I was thinking, but I want the whole remote and wasn't sure if the piece would come off (yes, I did see the picture of the separate slide check piece).
