1. When firing on 3 shot burst, does it matter how long you hold the trigger? if you tap it once quickly, does it fire one shot or three?
3 shot burst, 3 shots for every trigger pull.
2. Does the e-grip complicate taking the gun apart significantly?
Nope, it is pretty much the same, you just have to take apart the grip when you have to replace a battery.
3. The gun will not fire if the grip is not turned on, correct?
Yes, that is correct.
