It's thickness, not length... so as long as your knees are still sorta normal sized around, you're fine. If you're 5'5" and 92 lbs, they might feel a bit big.

does anybody have any positions on the Valkin/Valken/Valkon? pads?
A buddy of mine was showing em off to me and they looked not only awesome ( he had the Redemption line) but he said they were the best pads he's worn to date ( which is a opinion )

well I'm looking into knee pads after yesterday which I ran and dived right onto a rock.
My entire knee feels like rock, movment is not a option

i had to get knee pads early on when i was playin mostly woodsball ... those roots were killers on my knees .. worked out well when i went to speedball ... but i use two pairs ... yes i said two .... yes, i am a girlie man .. i have one pair that i wear up on my knees, and the other pair i slide down to my shins, then i just wear cargo shorts .. but they are dye brand and i havent had a shin / knee problem or injury since i started wearing them.
