Good to hear it was fixed. We got hit pretty hard here at work. Stil not sure where it got in or how....but I have theories....but basically did the same thing with a system restore to each infected computer and then fixed the gap in our security.

I do wish I could create a back track .exe file for the guys who deploy that crap though....give them some of their own back.

I have an extreme dislike of rollback for fixes.

Though you have removed the infection the files may remain. I would recommend going through the steps I have detailed on the 'Services' page on the link below.


As you have been through safe mode and disabled the Trojan you ought not need to do the full process of suspending etc. Just have a run through with a couple of spyware removers plus a tidy up with CCleaner.

To have dealt with the message you had on screen it could possibly have been cleared off screent with Process Explorer and ending or suspending the suspicious task.
