I figured I'd start a thread on here since it has'nt been touched, About 4 years ago I heard of adult swim, which is on cartoon network, and I saw a couple anime episodes, One was full metal alchemist which was a excellent series. Then I started to collect and watch anime movies, as a hobbie. And my library has grown ever since.

Currently waiting for the Hellsing OVA's to finally be put out so I can finish off the series and watching Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

I actually just got done watching and reading the Evangelian series as well. Great stuff. Confusing as hell though if you miss a single sentence.
BOG, that was the most annoying thing I have ever had to endure, and I once watched a whole Teletubbies episode. - Hobo

I wish I were still in Halifax. I used to be a member of the Dalhousie Doctor Who Society. Every Sunday we'd meet at the S.U.B. around 3 pm, watch a anime until 7pm the the Doctor.

one series I got totally lost on was raxephon I think that how you spell it. It kept going between two worlds that were in the same world, and the people that where in the different world where of different blood color but they where humans...i think.

Outlaw star was a good one also.

No Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan mentions yet?

Everything shonen anime is supposed to be. Action, humor, and over the top MANLINESS!

. . . . might POSSIBLY be an anime nerd.

Maybe.

Just a little bit.

Kinda.

Oh man, TTGL is nothing short of pure sex and win and awesome and manliness. I'm proud to say that I myself and friends with a Yoko cosplayer. :P

Some of my favorite Animes out there include Full Metal Panic (as well as FMP: Fumoffu), Ghost In the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, most of the Gundam series, Death Note, and Evangelion. I'm trying to branch out and find some more to watch though. I need to start up on Hellsing though, and definitely need to start up on the 2nd season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

While on topic, does anybody else cosplay? I figured that if anybody else cosplays, to keep it in this thread.

So far, I've done Praying Mantis PMC.
Characters and My own, so far, still gotta make my exclamation point.

I'm also finishing up on my EVA cosplay, from MGS3; whether you like it or not.
Character and My Version. The wig is at a friend's house, she has to ship me it; and at the convention we're just going to sharpie on a bikini top. The whole point of the costume is for shock factor anyways.
Wretched is the sound of my voice.

i have wanted to see this since i saw like 100's of people dressed up in Cosplay for it at the Anime Con.

I used to be HUGE into anime and manga. Like i'd watcha series a weekend. And read manga constnatly. Now i rarely have time for anime. But i still read my manga. I have about 40+ series on DVD, but have only watched about half. Then i started working every weekend, and lost out on watching a new series every weekend. :P Such is life.

My fave series...in no particular order
-Trigun (tied for fave series and manga...with..)

-Berserk (tied for fave series, is definitely favorite manga...bloody as they come, nothing is held back, visceral fights all the time.) The ending to the anime is the worst ever, total cliff hanger. To get you to buy the manga. Manga is AMAZING

-Elfen Lied - gory gory gory series about the newest evolutions in the human species. 14 episodes, but sooooo amazing. Easily one of my faves ever. Very bloody though, heads poppin off all the time. And you learn the more innocent a girl looks, the deadlier she is.

-Gunslinger Girl - another great 14 episode series. About girls, like age 8-12, who are on theier deathbeds and are given cybernetics to make them the perfect assasins. Epic show. I loved it. PKJ loved it. Seriously well worth the watch. They kick buttocks then go home and have tea parties and play with dolls. Freaking great

-Desert punk - cool show about a bounty hunter in the desert. I loved it.

-Escaflowne - about how there are people living on the moon. ANd their wold and the fighting going on. A girl from our world ends up there, and there is giant mechs and fighitng. Cool show

-Dual: Parralel universe - definitely a guys anime. A guy finds out he exists in two universe, nearly identical to eachother. But one has giant mechs, which only women, and for some reason him, can pilot. Really cool story. Dude has three women fall in love with him and all sweat him. Its funny

-GOLDEN BOY!!!!!!!!!!!! Hilarious 6 episode series. 18+ for sure. Great hilarious take on a guy trying to get buttocks but always failing. I never have laughed so hard. Very dirty animation in terms of how it goes, but no real sex ever. Like he will be with a woman, she will be holding his hand, and he will be all like "what if my hand was really my "junk", then she would be holding my junk", then magically you see his junk as his hand he freaks out.

-Serial Experiment Lain...never have i questioned my existance as much since watching the matrix as i did with this series. 14 episodes...about how their is the real world and the online one...where we exist in both, only online world has always existed. Lain crosses between them. Very freaky and cyber punkish. I watched it twice and still was lost as could be in the end.

-Ninja Scroll - fave anime movie EVER hands down. Just amazing.

-Vampire Hunter D - original is awesome. Manga and books just as good

-Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust - made by guys who did ninja scroll, 15 years later. Animation is some of the best i have ever seen. Attention to detail is beyond extrodanaire.

-Read Or Die - only watdched the OVA, own the series too. Amazing OVA. All about protecting rare books. Yeah sounds boring, is freaking awesome. Wicked cool fights.

First cosplay was years ago. Maes Hughes from Full Metal Alchemist.

Then I pulled Aizen from bleach the following year.

And I can't find photos of either dammit.

FMA cosplay is pretty cool stuff, especially if it's done right. I really do like the harder to find cosplays, or the more eccentric ones though. Hence, my crosplaying.

All I know are the "classics"

Robotech, Akira, G-Force, Star Blazers, Captain Harlock, etc.
