Nothing wrong with a Claymore. High on the bad assedry list as well.

Have you seen Wallace's claymore? I mean the real thing. It's like 5'6" long.

Wallace

Dang that alot of metal to swing around. the sword weights like what 40 pounds? or probably more.

Actually his sword wasn't even close to 40 lbs... The typicle Battle ready full tang Claymore weighs in at 8 to 10 lbs.

If we're talking medieval I personally like the Bastard Swords. Quite a bit faster and lighter than a Claymore, Greatsword, or other full sized 2-handed piece, but longer blade and handle than a long sword. Very flexible in its application.

Got to agree with you on that one... the Tinker Pierce sword in the pic happens to be a really good sword, so I've heard.

I rock a butter fly, aka balisong.
Paid about 20$ for it and have fixed all of the little bugs so far
Ive modded it myself with a spring lock gate on the latch, custom painted matt black, lock tight on the upper screws and super glue on all of the pins.

Its actually a Big knife. My hands are big and this feels long to me, lots of reach.

Ive only had to use it once in self defense and it didnt result in bloodshed. He brought his fists to a knife fight lol.

One of the safest knives if you consider the fact that once open, the locking mechanism cannot break without breaking a handle.

You can get a cheap one online, but if you do, it will take a lot of modification to make it sturdy. I got mine from BladeOps.com. But like I said, I had to do a lot of modifications to make it usable. You can get a good one for about 100$ but I didnt think it would be worth it. If you do get one tape the blade up before you start playing with it. I told the guys at BladeOps that they should sell finger band-aids with every order. lol

Really, any Cutlass style sword is good for me.

My job is to be an asshole. I excel at the position.

I am an edged weapons fanatic! I am not sure you folks will believe me, but I have been collecting swords and knives since I was in college... I have no former training, but, I would love to find a teacher for the medieval sword, axe and mace.

My knives (non-medieval) are as follows: Cold Steel Vaquero Grande, Kukri (not sure which one, anymore. It is with me whenever I am hiking. LETHAL Weapon) Rifleman's Tomahawk and Warhawk. I have a Buck knives M9 bayonet, a KaBar Next Generation, a Western (big) Bowie and an old Solingen Original Buffalo Skinner (LOVE this knife). Plus other cheap blades. I also have a Crawford Knives Survival Staff which is excellent...

Swords and Medieval weapons: Most of these are from Museum Replicas Limited. Grosse Messer (my favorite medieval weapon, so far) Gothic Bastard sword, Medieval Short Sword (made by Del Tin, Krupp Steel - my best sword), falchion, Anelace, sword-hilted dagger. I have a Cold Steel 1917 Cutlass and a war hammer. I also have a River Thames Mace and a Pole Axe from Museum Replicas Limited, one of the best weapons I have gotten from them.

Money is tight these days and Museum Replicas quality is going down hill (steadily since I purchased my first sword from them), so I have not been able to add to the collection for a while. I hope this does not sound like boasting; I am not. I just like talking about swords and knives and sharing my collection.
Blessed be the LORD my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle. My lovingkindness and my fortress, My high tower and my deliverer, my shield and the ONE in whom I take refuge!

Automags: Because only the best will do!

My favorite sword would have to be the hand-and-a-half or bastard sword simply because of it's versatility. Power and grace in a simple and strong blade is for me.
