Hey Guys,

I just kind of got into the Speedball thing to try and develop more skills, and made a pod pack purchase.

http://www.ansgear.com/Empire_2008_08_Acti...se-34-black.htm

(Now that I see it, it is all out of stock and they stopped making them )

Anyways, I tried it on, fits great. But how am I supposed to wear it. I know this sounds really newbie, but isn't the front velcro area supposed to be under the front of your jersey?

Also, I went to go put regular 140 round pods in it, and it is super super snug. Like I had to use 2 hands. Does it take some time to break in and adjust? Or was it made for 100 round pods? I guess I can kiss the chances of using my Locklids goodbye...

Any suggestions and comments are helpful.

Thanks ;)

As far as the pods go, a dye locklid is slightly bigger than a standard 140 so you will probably have to get some regular 140s or just wait for it to break in. I wear my pod pack completely over my jersey, but I don't know if there are other ways.

Well I'm gonna base this on how I wear my pack, which is a pbmafia joyride pack. I just strap it on over my jersey, I don't see how I could put the front underneath my jersey.

And I'm thinking that it might just take a bit to break in, did the elastic pod ejectors help at all?

I wear my NXe harness under my jersey. I tuck the back of the jersey behind my harness though. Some people will wear their harness outside of their jersey and throw empty pods down the jersey.

To each their own however.
Coming soon.

I am running it like this....

3 140 Rounds in the regular holders. 2 Locklids in the little elastic holders. The 140's are super tight, but I'm hoping if I just always keep them in their it will adapt.

Thanks for the advice so far guys :)

breaking them in is easy. just place your pods in the pack overnight and it wont be a issue for long.

What Fox said, I've fit locklids in both my empire packs. It is quite snug at first, but it'll break in.

Now for how to wear it, when I can I wear the front strap under my jersey like so:

Most places don't have a rule against it, some tournaments/fields do. I find it more comfortable.

And that is an Empire pack I'm wearing, complete with 140 round pods. Everybody took all the locklids before the breakout.

I have found that I like it better when the velcro on the front is under my jersey, while it is sort of pushed up in the back, just like your picture Mitch.

...and Mitch Force. Are you playing paintball on the golf course

Thanks for all the help guys. Can't wait to try this pack out Sunday!

I wear my pack like mitch, it's so much more comfortable and easier to take your jersey off between games.

Playing BY a golf course. It was down in Mesquite for SPPL. If there isn't a casino there's a golf course where it would be. :P

But why do some places/tournaments have rules against wearing your pack under your jersey???
