The pain medication I' on for my wisdom tooth is quite powerful, and makes me really tired, so tired that my english teacher sent me home after I slept through the firsit 10 minutes of her class. The whole extraction thing was absurd, my dentist gave me some novacaine, but not enough, he didn't test to make sure I was numb before he started drilling, and despite my coplaints of it hurting, he didn't stop to give me anymore, so I felt a large majority of the pain of getting it drilled. Then, he put stitches in, which later that night I managed to rip out by smiling to big...didn't realize that smiling was going to be an issue. As long as I'm on the meds I don't hurt, but if I fall asleep it hurts like crazy when I wake up, and I have a pretty good pain tolerance. Wonder if it has anything to do with the fac that he mangled my gums all around the area plus the gums up to a few teeth before the one he pulled...he did a massive number on my mouth...I'm not happy.

When I had one pulled, and I told the doc that I could still feel a bit when he started poking around, so he gave me some more nova. :) After I got home, I took one pain med just because, but never took anything after that cause the nove hung around a long time :). So i have a prescribed pain med sitting in my med kit for later use :)

Got pulled over for speeding. I was speeding yes, but not at the speed written on the citation. At sixty mph it is physically impossible to make the turns on this road. I had cruise control at 50. Court date isn't til August. Sooo long. This blows hard. What makes it better is the officer passed me on the way out. I was going the speed limit at this point. Hypocrisy at its finest.
Do radar guns work while both cars are in motion?

if you are going to contest this ticket, hopefully the officer wont show up on the court date and it will get thrown out.

get a fuzz buster .. i have one plus a little signal jammmer delay that has helped me countless times. it also identifies what is scanning you and what frequency you are picking up. helps to know the diff between an ambulance, firetruck, and a police cruiser

I have a detector but it's 10 years old now and doesn't get a lot of stuff. And when it does it's usually an automatic door or something.
Luckily I live in Louisiana and have some connections. And I will look intoa fuzz buster. Sounds like a razor to me though...

i dont recall the actual brand name of what i have .. but it detects every radar freq, and about 15 laser freq. it displays every freq it picks up. it will also tell the diff between firetruck, ambulance, police car, and the detection devices that are mounted on traffic lights, light poles, and the cameras.

then i have another device that is supposed to "cloak" my vehicle for an additional 2 sec which is sometimes all you need to get under the speed limit .. all it is though is a low tech jammer. You can get ones that will jam greater distances, but they are big time illegal .. according to reports put out by cops, they have already acquired your signal and speed by the time your fuzz buster can alert you, i do not believe that .. i know how radar and laser work, so if I have my fuzz buster and my low tech jammer, it should level the playing field. i havent had a ticket in years.

alot of it is luck as well, nothing can stop a pop up scan, but most cops out here advertise their signals by driving long distances with them on, sort of like fishing a stream with a net instead of a pole. gives you plenty of time to react if you have the right toys.

So... We get a call from the mother in-law on Friday. It seems the father in-law has threatened to stab her, then himself if she tried to come here for a visit on Mother's day. While she was on the phone with the wife I was on the phone with the cops. He was taken to the psych ward by the cops. She was advised to get out.

So now she's here with us for Friday and Saturday night. Yesterday we went back to her place to pick up her stuff. His sister is the landlord... Guess who goes nuts and starts ranting and raving? "You can't do this! I don't have money for the mortgage! You have to give me 30 days notice!"

I try to stay calm. Raising my voice a couple of times so she can hear me over her own yelling rant. She called her son, I called the cops. Her son shows up, with his "girl friend" and his buddy. All 3 get in my face, ranting and trying to get me to take the first swing. While we're waiting for the cops to arrive they're talking about how they have family and friends on the force. Of course the attitude changed when they cops arrived and was fine until they left.

Their entire argument was, "She has to stay, live with abuse and in fear for her life so we can pay the mortgage. Your making me feel threatened and that's not ok." Add to the fact they all reeked of beer when they showed up....

Now comes problem number whatever... The wife and I are moving and the end of June, so Mother in-law can't stay with us for long. After 15 days we'd have to put her on the lease. She can't afford to take over our place on her own and she doesn't want a roommate.... We called all the shelters in town and they are all full. We went to housing hoping they'd have a place for her to go and were basically told, "Here's your paper work, but you'll have to sleep on the street."

puz, if you could swap your mom-in-law for a midget, you could probably get a spot on Jerry Springer .... or better yet, you might be able to host your own reality tv show ... i only thought that all this kind of crap only happened in the US of A !

But seriously, i hope things shake out better than they seem to have in the last several months for you.

My ability to not get stressed out is pretty low, finals week has pretty much killed me, havent had an appetite, been tired and irritable, and I just cant sleep at night. This of course translates into a very grumpy Anne during the day, which has been a bit of an issue in regards to relationships. I haven't spoken to my best friend since tuesday when I blew up on him...

Moving back to my moms on Saturday, so my entire room is already packed and ready to go, so I have my sleeping bag, sketchbook, and computer to keep me entertained until then...makes for a pretty boring life. I will admit I cant wait to get out of this house, the place is such a pile of crap, and the whole situation drives me insane, but at the same time, oving back to the middle of nowhere, an hour away from all of my friends, and living with my mother who doesnt really support the idea of me going into the military, (which I will be doing lots of training/meetings this summer for that) doesnt necessarily seem much more appealing...I also have to deal with having the guy that everyone thinks I like over for dinner, which in a way is cool, 'cause he is a good friend and I will enjoy his company, but I can promise you my family will crack jokes...I hate jokes about guys, it just turns a good friendship into an awkward situation...we have dealt with it pretty well so far...but itd be nice if people just left us alone.
