Ok. So I picked up an old Super Cocker 98 a while back from the Pawn Shop. My intention is to make it a pump.
Only issue is that the trigger frame ASA screws are stripped, so I can't keep a tank on it. Also the trigger guard has been cut (minor issue).

A teammate has access to a full machine shop, and offered to re-drill the screws, as well as anything else I needed.
I was thinking about having him Half-Block it. Only, I have no idea what that actually does. I've heard it, and seen some back in the day (I was always an Angel kid though).

So to sum it up...
A: What is Half-Blocking? What does it do?
B: Should I do it? Because this gun is pretty as is

Also, a halfblock pump's pump stroke usually isn't as smooth as a full body. And, I wouldn't half block that...it would ruin it IMO.

Agreed, don't half it. That's a bit of a rare beast. Grab a nice pair of 10-32 threaded nuts, and longer ASA screws. Run the screws through the holes, into the nuts, and you'll be all set. What you really need is a chrome Stabilizer and chrome duckbill, to bring her back to 1998 glory. Maybe grab a nice chrome Benchmark slider frame.

If I can find a chrome/silver pump handle, I'll be all over that.
Right now I'm doing a Red & Black scheme. Running a Black Hyper2, ASA, Pump handle, and Barrel.

I am going to have the guy cut out where the trigger connects to the pneumatics, so I can switch them back and forth easier.

Now I just need to get the feedneck/elbow issue solved. I either break them or they wobble and fall off
Speaking of, how rare is the left hand feed? An older player at my field said that they were rather uncommon and hadn't seen one in a few years (He's also the one that was talking about half-blocking, but he was talking about someone elses cocker).

They are a bit uncommon. Try APP's atomic elbow. They tend to work well.

Cause my other two pumps are a Splatmaster and a BE Tigershark.
Don't worry, I'm keeping it so I can switch back and forth easily. The cocker will be my bad weather gun (since it's my only all Mech one left)
