I just bought this timmy off a friend and was wondering if I could get some assistance in ID'ing it (first timmy I owned) I'm not sure of the make, year, or board type so I haven't been able to program it yet: Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

any assistance in this matter is appreciated

where is the other half of the trigger frame???

Not sure on the board, usually clamshell framed intimidators like the ones with frenzy boards have LCD screens.

Usually boards have small lettering on the board with the name of the company that made it.

not sure on what type of timmy it is with the curvy back on it. looks like it is from 2005.

How much you pay for it??

and is there anything else on it other then a new trigger, gauge, and feedneck??

it's clamshell and has a frame for a lcd screen, but the board is a dip switch.

the bottom of the board says fine-tech-boblong-2k4-1
2k4 might be the year?

I payed 120, he needed money to repair a window on his car and wanted to get rid of some of his guns.

i can't find any thing on the board either, the closest looking thing i have seen is a defiant 2 board, but when i set this board to the defiant 2's ramp settings, it didn't ramp, so i am left clueless.

That either a very limited pl gun...or something custom milled.

I have owned shot and seen ALOT of timmys and never seen anything like that.

It has a 2k5 style frame, and board, the trigger guard is ironman which suggests that its not from factory...the reg is newer style the frontblock looks to be alias.

It looks like a dark intimidator that has had some major milling.

Whatever you got theres its a 1of1 or very limited pl gun...nice find

Peace,
Teddy K

just posted it up there, thanks for the link dib.
edit: called my friend, he doesn't know about the board, but he said the body was a custom mill job by the owner before him

alright so appareantly the board is a defiant 2 board, now I set it to the ramp setting of the defiant 2 and no luck with the ramp, any ideas?

edit2: a guy on the iog told me not all defiant 2 boards can ramp, even though they have the switch, ,anyone that can confirm this? Also what kind of board upgrades should I look at if I wanted to get one that can ramp for this.

Wellllll. It looks an awful lot like an AIM body.

If that is the case it will be hard to really ID. AIM make more than a few differnt Timmy clones and body kits a few years ago. Most of them were based on the 2k2 platform. That is what I see that one being.

Chech it out...AIM paintball. Looks like a new gen of the Timmy Jam body.

I think it looks more like the ASP than the AIM.

I was looking at replacement boards ( because appareantly this one is only capable of semi) and I was looking at the seventh element board, This looked like it had what I need (and then some lol) for cheaper than most, the only thing was I heard there have been issues with the length of the wiring on that board. does anyone know about that?

The only semi-only board for the clam shell was the LED7 board. Take the board out and there is a piece of clear tap with the board identifier on the other side.

If not LED 7 use the Defiant board set-up. There has been a few variations but the DF2 manual should be on track for all LED boards.

Here's some instructions: link

As for issues with the board .... who cares .... call Bob Long and send a few bucks their way and they'll flash it with the latest version.

Edit: also ditch that battery and buy a good one.

You are right ghost....it looks exactly like the ASP body. The diferences in the two are quite small though leading me to belive that both the ASP and the AIM bodies are made by the same cnc shop.
