I followed maxOC's tuning guide on PBnation and I have my dwell set at 22 blinks (5.5 ms) and my psi at 200. Anyone know if that sounds legit? I'm going for best efficiency here. It does have kick though and I can't exactly figure out how to reduce that. Lower dwell and raise FPS by turning out the back cap?

Mini's just tend to have some kick to them, it's just how they are. Try lowering your pressure to 170-180 and compensating for it with the back cap. You'll probably be sacrificing air efficiency, but it will get a bit quieter and probably less kicky. I never touched the dwell on my Mini when I had it, and the dwell still hasn't been touched by the current owner (a friend/teammate of mine) and it shoots fine.

I had the psi set at 180 or so and I couldn't get the velocity high enough. I set it back to 200psi and have the dwell lower for efficiency. The kick should even out once it has the tank and loader on it. I was using a remote. Do the spring kits make a difference with velocity?

I'm not really sure. If you've set the dwell and pressures right, which it sounds like you have, there's not too much you can do to lower the kick without buying new parts for it and experimenting a bit. The TechT bolt and NDZ bolts are supposed to help with the efficiency a little as well as lower the kick a bit, and the NDZ spring kit would probably help out even more with that.
