I've painted both and snake skin is a lot easier and takes less skill and work. As far as blending in you can make them what ever colors you want to blend in with where ever you play. Does that make sense??? The mask in the picture i use for tan and dirt areas like dry grass and in winter when there is less green. I also have a snake skin one with more green and i use for the jungle.

ya that kinda makes sense, basicly just use colors that blend into what environment that you play in right?
i still havent decided yet though i'm kind of leaning towards snake skin.

Yeah pretty much. what ever color you think is best. Tiger stripe takes a lot of time to do it right.

Those are E-Vents? They look like Avatars, unless the snake skin paint job of awesomeness is hiding the soft ears. :(

I used an old laundry bag that i had. I am also working on painting a mask for my wife, using lace. I am going to make it flowery but in camo colors.

I vote Tiger. They both can be very effective camo but I just find tiger more s3xy.

I like tiger more than snake because snake reminds me too much of the Crysis suit lol.

im trying to paint a 98 custom of mine as well and after repeatedly trying to paint various objects from calculators to nerf guns along with trying multiple different types of stencils, ive found that im not very good at painting snake skin so now im trying to paint tiger stripes cuz anything using tape seems much more simple for me than using large stencils that can move between layers and then mess up the whole gun (or whatever you'r painting. whichever you choose, good luck and remember to use thin coats.

My vote goes to Tiger Stripe. Never been a huge fan of the snakeskin.

well, ive been experimenting with both snake skin and tiger stripe by painting various objects and yesterday i just finished painting my second nerf gun and these are my results
Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image
both came out decently but i personally felt that the tigerstripe was much easier. both patterns look great once you can get used to painting them properly, but i think that you should practice both then use whichever one you are best at painting.
