Has anyone ever tried powdercoating thier marker?

I've seen a few that were claimed as powder coat but to my experience it's not really a viable option for most paintball guns. The tolerance issues are worse then most paints and it can be very pricey but I could be totally wrong.

Thanks Big Bone.

I went ahead and recently purchased a powdercoating kit and powdercoated my old Spyder Flash. I took it all apart and wire wheeled the pink to yellow to green paintjob off down to bare metal and powdered it matte black. It turned out the way I wanted it, although it isn't the most professional job, but it was my first powder job and I wasn't going for a great look. After it was done, powder cured and put back together, I let it sit in my basement for a few days and then took it outside and waved it back and forth in our lilac bush in the yard. The branches made a few marks in the powdercoat but no real damage. No scratches and the powdercoat is smooth as ever.

Overall I like it. I have a few old broken markers that I plan to try some different looks and colors on. I will try to get some done and get some pictures posted and see what everyone thinks.

Awesome man, your the first person I've talked to who has done it yourself. If you can get some pics up I'm sure myself and others would like to see it. This could be a viable alternative to normal paints. Well done.

powdercoat is very cheap i can get a bike done for 80 thats with the guy doing every thing to but even more the powder is very cheap 10$= 8 ounces and goes a long way i think its 3 spraypaint cans worth for every 8 ounces of powder so not to pricey

Lots of guns are successfully powdercoated, although they're mostly the old brass Sheridans, mostly done by PPS, and custom finishers such as MadCustoms and KCPS.

you did a powdercoat finish on a brass gun dang i think they look nice polished or nickel plated although powder coat stays clean and i think you have to polish the brass every half a year or so and nickel plating is expensive
