Ok, so I was killing time, and ran across this video of a kid doing a William Tell with a paintball gun.

So my question here is, WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU THINKING? I mean, paintball masks were made for a reason. Look around youtube if you care to, I wish this was the only one like it. I'm just wondering how stupid you have to be to have several people go along with it, and video tape it.

These people are giving/going to give paintball a bad name. Where are their parents?

Ok, well I just saw this video and wanted to talk about it and see what the responsible community's collective opinions are. Basically, I wanted to get the rant out of my system. Mods, if you think this is not appropriate, please go ahead and delete it.

As I've often said- you can't legislate against stupidity. Our only hope, as Niceguy eloquently put it, is Social Darwinism.

I move we build a big circular wall, put all the stupid people in, and wait a few weeks. The problem will solve itself.

I hate videos like this, it's kids trying to be funny, and all they do is help ignorant people think that paintball is dangerous.

The one citation we wished we could write in the army was 'stupid in a no stupid zone.' It covered everything that we couldn't find a code for, and i've lost count how many times I asked people why they did it. It's a shame we don't allow survival of the fittest anymore.

Have you seen that cool show on The Discovery Channel, Time Warp? They take things and slow them down with super high-speed cameras. Like water baloons popping, and soap bubbles...

They did an episode on paintballs and paintballing that was pretty interesting. Watching them explode against walls and stuff. It was pretty interesting.

Then it went down hill. They took one of the gals from their all girl team helping them out and shot her in the leg at "over 300 feet per second" according to the narrator. They wanted to see a bruise form under their high speed cameras.

Also, the gals played a trick on the hosts during an X-ball type game. A gal got shot in the leg and started screaming. One of the hosts ran over, took his mask off on the field, and checked on her, she took blind aim and lit him up...without his mask on.

There was loads of unsafe behavior by the gals and the hosts and it royally PERTURBED me off. If you can't see clips of it online, try to DVR if it gets repeated.

I think you hit it on the bulls eye there. It's kids not thinking, and trying to make a cool video to be cool, and they end up getting seriously hurt.

this is one of the reason all warning labels need to be removed off all products. Eventually, stupid people will kill themselves off

Some people just don't deserve thier brain cells. I can see a thousand mothers advocating the ban of paintball markers because of that incident.
