Hey guys, I'm getting an E grip for my x7 and dont know if I should look at upgrading the board in it. It's just a stock tippmann E-grip so I don't know what board is in it now nor do I know what I should upgrade to if needed. I've heard of APE boards and WAS boards, but what is your input?

::Bump:: I have the e-grip now...I'm guessing the stock board it comes with is good enough in ya'lls opinion?

As far as I've heard it's a WAS board. And unless your really, really needing to fling some paint their a pretty great board for a tippman, IMO.
If he rips my arms off, I'll kick him to death.
If he rips my legs off, I'll bite him to death.
If he rips my head off, I'll stare him to death.
And if he gouges my eyes out, I'll curse him from beyond the grave.

Short of reprogramming it, there ain't much you can do.

You could hit up your local college electrical building and a student may help you as practice for programing.

That (i think) is trigger "programable." What I am talking about is reprograming the ic or the micro proccesor on the board to be like this

subroutine1:
if trigger is low
-----then goto subroutine1
if else
-----then goto suproutine2

subroutine2:
if eyes is low
-----then pause 10 '10 milliseconds
-----goto suproutine2
if eyes is high
-----then goto subroutine3

subroutine3:
--pulseout 1 'activate the solinoid
--pause dwell 'dwell is a variable set by the user
--low 1
--goto subroutine1

I was thinking the same thing, if you want to modify the technology of your stock e-grip get a APE board and install it. To be honest the only significant help the APE board does in my opinion is conserve battery power by putting the electronics in "sleep mode" and not shutting down like the WAS board. I do not have an e-grip on my X7 but I am looking into getting one with an APE board.
