I wear the towel when I'm reffing, folded up and held on by my podpack. Someone said it doesn't work, I beg to differ. I have been railed in the groinal region while wearing a towel, it hurt, but not as much as it could have.

Becc just makes this conversation more awkward.

Congratulations Chinstrap on being the first person in this thread to use the word "Testicles."

take an aluminum plate, fold the top. slide the fold over the top of your pants.put it on the inside or outside. you can mold it if you like, but make sure there arent any edges. dont want to ehhh. you get the point.

The towel Idea works great. I have seen it used by countless refs and a few choice players for the last 11 years I have played.

Personally I wear Empire Ground Pounder Pro sliders and I play in a Kilt. Quite a fantasic combination that works better than folks think.

Quite simple how loose flowing fabric absorbs the impact and simple drops the paintball to the ground.

I've heard of people taking jock straps or compression shorts that hold cups and putting closed cell foam or cutting up computer mouse pads and putting it in the cup pocket. It sounds like a good idea, but I've never tried it. I think a real soft cup would be better, though.

I use a Groin protector from a Set of IBA and a pair of dye sliders. works wonders.

We ran to the sounds of the thunder.
We danced among the lightning bolts,

Boxers and JT pants for me. So far so good. Never taken one straight to the jube jubes thankfully though. Have still had mini me hit, luckily I was wrapping so my pants kinda trampolined it. If I was going to get anything, I'd focus more on padding for my thighs just for bounces. The same reason my friend wears the Proto chest protector...yay bounces. :P

Same as T-Freak. My Fusions have plenty of protection and I am never really in a position that leaves my "manness" wide open. I.E. I am always in a sort of crouch or layin down...

I wear a cup. One time I get hit right there, the cup made it were it didnt hurt, but the cup is dang uncomortable.

I saw one guy get hit in the groin, no protection, he was down for an entire game on the Fort feild so about 20 minutes.
Nothing ever goes according to plan...
