Exactly Halo sniper, the Spider kit would be easier to obtain. As far as modding an A-5 kit to fit a spider, you could use the launcher itself, but the adapter for the A-5 is specific to the barrel thread piece that replaces the stock one. So you cant use it for the spider.

Correct, but it is a fairly simple piece to machine with a lathe and a milling machine.

The A-5 adapter? I think he was asking if you could use the A-5 kit to mount on a spider. Theres actually an adapter that goes into the front under the barrel on the Spider, I dont know the name of the thing at the moment, but it has a specific adapter just like the A-5. And yes the A-5 adapter would be fairly simple to machine, if you had access to the correct mahcinery.

The launcher is the same for every version, the adapter is the only difference, I haven't seen the Spyder adapter, but making a launcher built for a Spyder fit onto an A-5 should be no problem.

Sure i do it fire it about 75 yrds. Need to trim the fins on it. Put some baby powder on it too. Cool smoke puff when you fire it.

I've done this myself, works really well for taking out bunkers saved my butt more than a few times. (some players tend to stay away from people who can shoot at them when they are still out of normal paintball range)

I've had my eye on this launcher for a year or two and then forgot about it. I've finally decided to buy one but I can't find it anywhere on line. Did Scepter go under??? They have no web site anymore and links to various stores are empty. Any help would be great.

Thanks for the info guys. But Capt. Fish, you just trimmed the fins, how about the nerf body itself? Just coat it w/powder no trimming required?

Yes Scepter is out of business. The only ones you will find now are used and some old "new" stock in a couple places. They are pretty good launchers.

I have heard of people using zip ties around the missle of the Nerf rounds to squish them down to fit into the Scepter easier.
