What would you do?

I tend to agree with Puzuma. Most commercial fields don't allow climbing in trees to play paintball for liability reasons. If tree climbing was prohibited, then the player broke field policy and safety rules, his shots upon opponents would not count, and he would have been ejected from the field. His bonus-balling would be further justification for ejection. Your retribution may have made you feel better, but despite the fact that he had broken the rules in shooting you from a tree, and bonus-balled you, if you broke the rules in returm and he fell from the tree, you could be liable for any injuries he suffered. While you were not responsible for him being in the tree, your actions could be directly responsible for him falling from the tree.
