i don't think we've ever had an ice storm as long as i've lived here, for 14 years. (in colorado), it's always snow, and there's plenty of it now. snowing right now, we'll have about 8 inches on the ground tomorrow morning, but the base by the end of the week up at the resort should be around 50 inches. im pumped.

as for the ice storms, that looks crazy. i also couldn't imagine being out of power for a week in the middle of winter...

Hey man send some of that ice and snow this way. We've got wend chills in the negatives and nothing to show for it. We're used to ice storms too, the trees are strong here and hold up real well. :P Beautiful pics!

Yeah that happened to me last year. Went till june 4th. usually stop in may. It sucked, plus the school board said "Lets put spring break in april" instead of march. Bleh, that year sucked.

If it was about 10 degrees colder here in southern NY we would of had a foot of snow

Greetings from legatos couch...
GUESS WHAT!?!? i wont have power till after new years *super happy bout that*
thank god for legato helping me out.

this is the only pic i have up so far. i dont really have that many of just-after-the-storm stuff, because i was on about 30 ems/fire calls a day till sunday.

some stuff was pretty fun... trying to get to a truck fire through literally tree after tree. we had to cut our way through with a chainsaw and by the time we got there 3 hours later the truck had burned itself flat. later that night but farther up the road we had a cardiac arrest call for someone on the fire dept... 50mph on roads that bad is scary as poo. favorite one happened while i was out of town. 12 alarm (town) fire... and we saved the house. how you get 12 towns worth of trucks to fit in our town nvm one driveway... im glad i didnt see
