Alrighty, well. As part of the automag owners group, I feel like I have to add and contribute to the spec ops automag community. Plus, most of us pop in here once a week and cheaks everything out. hoping for a topic that we can answer or relate to.

So heres a topic hoping to bring both traffic and discussion to the Airgun designs sub forum.

1) Hows the weather?
2) Does anybody know if you use the middle spring if it will help you get more air efficancy?

Right now im usuing the small gold spring. and It is for 250FPS but my marker is chronoed at 270 -280.
Would I get more efficiancy usuing the middle spring?

4) I hope to god this topic works as the way its intended to?

PS: If you have any questions feel free to ask, or if you think you have a crazy epiphany moment, do tell.

I run the gold spring on my Tac-One/ULT and the Red on my Emag. I like the red over the gold...it just feels like its shooting smoother for some reason.

Red over gold eh. I'll have to try that.
I just used it how I recieved it.

Whoa edit: WHAT did I just say in that last sentance ???? "I just used it how I recieved it."
What in God's name is that! That is not even a sentence. there is definatly in in-subordinate clause in there with a mis-used
word. plus some oxygen starvation in there.

I'v been thinking. Smart parts got all angry at AGD becuse they were usuing stuff inside thier markers that was pretty much the same function as the SP markers.

Is there a way to get smart parts internals ( solinoid and electronics) into the grip of a mag?
then possible create a Sin Mag. ( im trying to come up with a name for putting SP parts into a Automag)

and create a Xmag or Emag ( same thing really...for the most part) with those electronics?

People have made SmartMags before. They used SP frames with mag parts..not sure how it all came together though..but I have seen a few.

The SmartMags I used to see in APG back in the day also had SP's Magic Box on them. Eclipse spash parts (now a dime a dozen on eBay, but were far from cheap back in 94) were the norm, and the then "new" style All American barrel. They called them new style because the All-Americans team had recently converted from VM-68's / PMI-III rigs to the Automag and re-designed their signature barrel.

Smart Mags were gimmick that cost a fortune, and thankfully went into obscuity.

To be honest, SP didn't even really get into AGD too much on the E-Mag compared to other companies. Where SP spanked everyone with their Patent Trolling was the use of electroncs to activate the firing sequence. AGD, and Tom Kaye, in infinite wisdom (NOT!) decided to avoid the lawsuits all together by just pre-emptively pulling new eMags off the market. The eMags that were recently released were from remaining parts/stock in house. SP couldn't improve the internals any on an AGD rig, but the software could be improved upon. It's that living in fear mentality that I think is hurting AGD more than helping it.

Does anyone have a link to any kind of warp feed gallery? I've looked through the pic thread here and some on AO. I was kinda hoping to see more pics.

I was just wondering....

Becuase spec ops did the longbow with the Tac-One. which was great, but they keep emphasizing consistancy.. The thing with the X-valve is that the faster you fire the more consistant it gets. so in truth Its the worst marker to choose for a low ammo capacity marker.
I was wondering why they didnt use a old Classic valve, switched the front grip off for a 12 gram changer and throw on the Q-loader or the 21 round feed.

That way your making use of the valve consistantsies proporties with C02 and first shot FPS fluctuation.

and not to mention it would save some wieght on your back.

Xvalve and the shoot sparingly mentaltiy... thats a failure.

has anybody set up a classic Tac? ( is that a name?)

A CO- One

a Long-cold.
A Cold-bow?
A Long Gram.
A ... nevermind

The consistency of the Tac-One is actually based off of the input pressure. While it will still "peak" a lower input pressure will give you better consistency if you're shooting slow.

There's that whole article. I see where you're coming from but the Tac-One itself isn't a bad platform for a Longbow. I'd rather use the current system than co2... I know co2 can be really consistent, but I try and avoid it.

I find that my MiniMag valved ProClassic works fine on CO2 if I fire very slowly...like "sniper" slowly...lol. It's consistant but if I need more than one shot every few seconds/minutes...I'm screwed. For 'faster than sniper" shooting, I need HPA.

here's a pic of my old Classic with the Warp...

I still have the Warp but not the Classic. I haven't mounted it on the ProClassic because it's now on the Crossbow (that still doesn't have the board yet) >:0

I might pick up another Warp for the PC but not anytime soon....

Set the pressure going into the RT to 700 psi.
To record your highest rapid fire velocity:-
Fire a paintball and hold the trigger back.
Then release the trigger completely, and fire the next paintball as quickly as possible, once again holding the trigger back.
Repeat as necessary.

in response to druid:

this is right in the middle, and I understand what you are saying.
Although with the Xvalve after you shoot the valve heats up a tiny bit. so the next shot is a little higher in FPS.

Usualy my first shot on my automag is about 260. then after a couple quick shots ( usuing discribed method of chronographing) I reach about 275.
and as long As I keep firing the FPS barly fluctuates. but when I stop and shot again it goes down and flucuates more.
