I'm im the market for a new mask, and I've narrowed my choices down to these two masks. What are the pros and cons of these masks? (I searched for a thread like this and I didn't find one)

I believe they use the same type lens (what I mean by that is that they have different shapes, and are not interchangeable, but the coating etc is the same), and they are both reported to have excellent anti fog, even with out a thermal lens. The profiler covers a bit more, and is cheaper, and the grill is about looks. It's really mostly if you want to pay more for that awesome "PERTURBED off" look. Also, b/c of the shape of the grill, more of your forehead is exposed with out the visor installed, so it is recommeded to wear some kind of headwear to protect your forehead.

I would find someplace to try them on. How they feel will be the biggest determining factor. I think the Profliers are little more form-fitting. They cut off around the jaw bone and wrap in a little. Grills are a little flatter. The grills also have a little less structure in the lower face area so they are a bit more flexible.

Grills have the feature of easily removable foam. Some people are drawn to that. Aside from that it's mostly all looks. I personally think Grills look really ugly. Unfortunately neither come with the option of a thermal lens which can be nice if you play in more extreme conditions.

What about your field of vision with the Grillz? That is the main thing I'm looking for in a mask.

I would say it is just about as well as the profiler. Most all masks except for the cheaper ones offer full peripheral vision.

I love my Grill. I wouldn't trade them for anything.

I've only had one problem with my Grill fogging up, and it was a day when everyone (even JT Flex's) were fogging 5 minutes unto a game.
I've used the Grill since they were released, and I don't see myself using anything else until VForce can top themselves.

The Grill field of vision is the same, if not better than the Profiler.

I have both (well, my Dad wears the Profiler because he has glasses and needs the larger area).
I can take pictures/test anything you need tomorrow night (after work) and post it up.
My job is to be an asshole. I excel at the position.

I also own both masks and i believe the profiler has a slight advantage in F.O.V. (not by much). both mask are great quality mask. It comes down to trying them on and seeing which you prefer more. Only reason i left my profiler for the grillz was because of the olive and tan color they came in, if not i would still rock my profiler.

I would get the grills man. I love mine. The foam never gets scratchy, they are very, very comfortable, soft bottoms that get crazy bounces, very light, breathable, never ever fog, look awesome, very easy to clean and take apart, and have great re-sale.

I'd go for the profiler. Mine's never fogged, it's got rubber for bouncing, and it comes it a black/olive drab color scheme

I dont think the profilers bounce much. Grillz come in the same scheme.

I'd go with the Grillz but I own the profilers with a transition lense. They're both pretty light and breathable but I'd have to say the Grillz win this one based on looks for me :D.

Both are great IMO but you should try both on. When i got a new mask it was between the Event and Grillz. I loved them both but i felt like my chin was exposed with the grillz so if you can trying on both would be really helpful

I would go Profiler, I don't OWN either, but I've used both. The Profiler felt really good and the FOV was amazing, things were easy to see and no fog problems what-so-ever.
The Grillz left my forehead and chin feeling "exposed" and it was a weird fit for a narrow face like mine, but had about the same FOV as the Profiler.

The grillz are wicked nice, but like death said, they come down where your forehead is, that wouldnt be a problem for me, because i wear a dye headwrap, but yeah, it might end up to be a considerable problem for you
